Would you be able to work your magic on this one, Casshern?

I got this title from two different sources, but it seems either (unlikely) the source material was captured with a weird aspect POV or whoever obtained the title might have scuffed it in the process and rendering phase.

The latter seems more likely since other DSVR releases are typically higher quality.

Thanks!

Dang it looks like the source itself has the weird aspect ratio. When watching in VR, I actually have to make an effort to bring the video into focus.

Is there a quick and easy fix for adjusting and saving to a different aspect ratio? I'm not sure if that would even fix the issue.

-Wait a sec... I think the video was meant to be configured for the eyes to be up-down instead of left-right

Play it as the MKV on your PC. You'll see it either stacked or side by side. Stacked = up-down. :D

Right, that what I suspect is the issue. This particular title is SBS for some reason when I think it should be stacked like other DSVR titles

It looks like the majority of JAV VR titles are stacked. Maybe DSVR-022 was meant to be stacked, but mistakenly got produced SBS? Just speculating lol

They certainly didn't do something right!

As @Raijinnn pointed out about DSVR-022 it seems the studio possibly encoded it incorrectly? This title notwithstanding, has anyone ever tried any type of corrective re-encoding with VR titles? For some reason my MeGUI and AVISynth are on the fritz! I can’t get them to work anymore, which is why I haven’t posted any 60fps titles in QUITE some time. If I had them working I would attempt to turn their SBS into TB and see if that corrects anything, although, I’m thinking it wouldn’t.

OK I made a short 8 second clip using Sony Vegas Pro. I made it as TB and tested on Samsung gear and it looked fine.

I started working on this last night as well. As I was encoding a 2 min. TB test clip, my software crashed on me, but I was too tired to start over.

It's good to hear that changing it to TB fixed it. Was the editing process difficult in SVP?

First I went to File/Properties and then I went to the Stereoscopic 3D Mode and selected Top/Bottom (Full)

Then I used this youtube video as reference

I was going to render it (at 2160 resolution) but it was taking too long ETA 2 hours+ so I canceled it. I think the file was going to be larger than 2GB. Im not sure though. But the 8 sec clip worked just fine! (38mb)
