In this case I have decided to apply the advice my mother gave me: “Sometimes, if you don't have anything good to say, better not say anything at all”.

But it is a frustration, yes,, in 2025 it is already an accumulation. In two months have been announced like 10 or 15 VRs with my favorite actresses, some lifelong favorites, and I like them.... Zero. But what worries me is the trend. I've gone from pissed off to surrender, and already to disinterest, JAV VR is less and less interesting to me, it's already worse than western VRs in terms of scenarios and proposals.

As I have commented many times, clothes do not excite me, if they are not removed. I need at least a face-to-face cowgirl or face-to-face missionary with no clothes on for a VR to interest me. And of course, in situations where I'm not a r**ist.... Of course I accept that not all VRs will suit my tastes, even that most won't. But, if I review 2025 with just my favorite actresses:

It could be a bad run, it's happened other times (not as brutal), but what beats me is the trend. The last 2 or 3 VRs of Nana Miho, Mio Ishikawa's, have been like those.

The VR porn that I like, is disappearing. The intimate, immersive, realistic VR, where you could fantasize that you were inside a REAL scene, making love with your neighbor, with a co-worker or study partner, with a friend, with a woman you meet in a bar, in a realistic setting, is gone. Even something as basic as a VR movie without clothes.
Now it's all gonzo, copying the worst of American porn. You don't make love with women anymore, you fuck with pornstars who act like pornstars in nightclub scenarios. Or worse. Now they only shoot VRs for abusers, clothing and costume fetishists, and all sorts of niches, all but the one I like (lesbian).

It used to piss me off, but the feeling I have now is one of surrender, of total disinterest in the new JAV VR, which has almost nothing for me anymore. I'll have to go back to my collection, but after enjoying movies in 8K, it's very difficult to go back to 4K.

Yep, those you've listed are terrible. Soon you could also add KAVR-404 to your list.

On the other hand most of your picks are from KMP, SOD and that one from Fuck Photo Rinet Work Second Edition :rolleyes:. With a studio name like that you can't really believe in your own work. They have never done anything immersive or interesting I think. My point is, that it is to be expected that those releases will suck, with KMP the probability is very high and SOD is just pure chance. Anything is possible with them. So nothing different from prior years. But yeah, MDVR-336, anything S1 and some other anticipated releases recently were terriblly disappointing.

I don't know exactly what you consider 'real' or realistic settings but comparing JAV VR to american porn is nonsense. I guess you have written this in frustration to make your point but I could counter this with a ~50 page thesis why this is absolute nonsense :p Even the worst VRKM release is miles ahead in story, acting, angles and so on. You know this better than me.

Yes, thanks, those VRs suit my tastes and the girls are OK.... But they are not Mio, Nana, Fujita, Akari, Yuka.... In that list above are the models in my Top 10, and out of 13 VRs, zero.... If I take my Top 10 actresses, with most of them I haven't watched any VRs I like for 1-3 years...
I am already convinced that there will be no more VRs for me with Mio Ishikawa, Nana Hano, Saika Kawakita, Nana Yagi, all exclusive actresses I like.

Well, I meant that at least in the western VR you are not a r**ist, nor an abuser, nor are the girls dressed as submissive maids all the time, nor are they dipped in oil at the slightest opportunity.
But yes, I wrote it in a moment of frustration. In Western VR the angles and immersion are crap, and getting worse too. As it becomes more mainstream, VR is less and less VR and more 2D porn. More watching and less interacting.

Been a while, I took a break from VR. With nothing worthwhile to see, I stuck to older releases or regular 2D videos since I watch those aswell. (No substantial lesbian VR titles either, so I keep watching URVRSP-245 in all its glory)

URVRSP-419 makes me excited, hopefully gets posted in 8K

URVRSP-418 some lesbian scenes so might take a look since those are rare.

SAVR-556 I like Fujita Kozue and how awkward she sometimes is, seems like she's back to AV after a break. I'll watch this one too.

@Walle12 URVRSP-414 sadly Akari Minase is off my list since her most recent nosejob. From debut until recently, she had her one nosejob. She looked very good with it, a rare exception when it comes to plastic surgery. I can't really watch any of her new movies for the same reason as Tenma Yui. It's not as bad as that though, she basically changed her entire face for the third time.

Easy to see and compare between URVRSP-414 and URVRSP-245, or with some 2D titles for that matter.

As a sidenote, This is her natural face if anyone is interested. FC2-PPV-975850. She had her first nosejob in her debut title and I don't think most people know it's not her natural face. Again, I think she looked great after the first one, somehow being an exception. Now she looks more uncanny, and I wonder if she will get more plastic surgery. I don't want to be the bringer of bad news, but if I recall right you are also against plastic surgery for the most part. I found it strange that people haven't noticed the change in Akari's face yet, to me it's very noticable even in 2D. Maybe it's becuase it's her first VR with her new look.

Good to see you again, @Tana_vak.

Always sucks to see favoured actresses go under the surgical knife. Ozaki Erika has undergone even more "enhancements" to her nose/face - looks very odd now. Can't watch any new content from her. Just like Akari, she was perfect in her default form. In VR, looks especially horrendous.

@enduraVR Agreed. I thought so too. Then again, she had plastic surgery from the start, and I can't decide if it's more surgery or the fact that she's become a lot thinner now.

She's always been nice and slender, but seems to be a lot thinner now and it shows in the face too. So maybe it's both, not good either way.

Definitely a combination of the two, weight loss + PS. Her nose is very upturned now. I'd post a screenshot from her latest VR, but deleted it out of disgust :rolleyes:

As for Minase, I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but haven't paid much attention to her admittedly. As you say, probably more apparent when comparing between releases.

Just got VRKM-1499 to check out later. Looking at the timestamps on part one alone I can already see...

I'll tresure her old VR's. The saddest part is that she is very talented at VR. Atleast in my opinion.

Ah, I see now. It does seem as if her nose has been altered to give a slimmer profile. Can't stand that pinched look.

Can't think of an actress for which a nosejob improved their appearance. Not for Mayuki Ito, not for Matsumoto Ichika, not for Ozaki Erika, not for Hashimoto Arina, not for...

The list goes on :aghh:
I cherish those that remain natural, not caving in to critical external influences.

Erika Ozaki for me has lost all her appeal. Not only she is too thin now, but she has a very strange face, I don't know if it's because of her extreme thinness or because of the cosmetic surgery. Or both. She looked absolutely perfect in her natural state when she debuted, beautiful and with a great body. Now I am not attracted to her anymore. I just hope her extreme thinness is not due to an eating disorder.

I hadn't noticed Akari Minase's nose because I don't watch 2D porn, and in VR her last movies haven't appealed to me, and neither have the next two. In those screenshots I can see the difference. Fortunately, it seems that her face has not changed like others, only her nose.

I will never understand why girls so beautiful and perfect in natural, need to change their noses.

It wasn't common at all back in the day from what I remember. To me, 2010 - 2019 had so many great actresses, and personally I think of it as the golden era in AV in a lot if ways.

Sadly VR was not a thing then, or just starting out at the very end of when those actresses were active. I could make a list of so many that where in this timeframe and retired as VR became a thing. Kokomi Naruse in some 8K high bitrate VR would be a dream.

I wish I still had this title from 2018, for an old 4K title it looks good and I wish I could see in again using heresphere with my own settings. BBVR-001 with Atomi Shuri and Mari Rika. Actually, Atomi Shuri and Azuki are the only ones I can remember having an obvious nosejob way back then.

Im rambling at this point, but it really seems so common now, and it makes me want to go back to those good old days.

Found an ex-load file of BBVR-001 if you are willing to wait 24h+ for it to complete. Recommend Free Download Manager (allows for download resume with a new download link after 24h). Used it a ton myself last month, downloading from file hosters.

Had Japan adopted 8K in conjunction with Western/European studios, my collection would be considerably larger. Let go of many releases due to middling resolution, though otherwise great content.

Somehow i haven't really noticed Erika Ozaki's surgery, and now i can't unsee it. Oh well, for now i still find her hot. Eyes are her most attractive feature for me anyways and fortunately she didn't mess with them

In the past I've stumbeld upon some links of older VRs that had only working links from Ex-Load. In some cases you couldn't even buy them on Fanza. The uploader seem to merge several parts into just one part. But that dosen't mean that you get the full movie, parts are missing. On top of that like you said enduraVR they reduce the bitrate and it looks absolutely terrible. I have downloaded from them twice as a free user (takes forever but works) and the files looked like absolute garbage. You get tons of very noticable artifacts.

Interesting, never seen her 'natural' appearance before. I might be in the minority because she had a nosejob before her first VR but I prefer her natural look. Her recent surgeries are terrible though, no debate. What has always bothered me with her are the cuts on her arm. In this release they are fresh and it looks like she is almost bleeding from her cuts. I can tolerate it to a certain degree but with her it's hard to ignore.

I'm often very bad at detecting these changes. The last VRs I've seen from her were SAVR-429 and URVRSP-347. They were released around half a year ago. Was that before or after her surgery? To me she looked good in those releases.
