Thanks.. as an add, HP business class LCD screens often twist 90 degrees to allow both uses. It's tougher when you send the signal to your 65" LCD/LED TV. :)

The term you're looking for is "Portrait" Vs "Landscape" Very early on, "Word Processors" came with a "Portrait" screen, to reflect what was viewable on a 8 1/2" x 11" legal paper. Video uses the standard "Landscape" mode as film is often 16 x 9 aspect ratio. (Wide screen)
