Plot: A sequel to one of China's biggest box office hits, the wry romantic comedy "Fei Cheng Wu Rao 2" ("If You Are the One 2") — the first Chinese release to open in its homeland and North America on the same day — continues the odd-couple courtship saga of wealthy, middle-aged retiree Qin Fen (Ge You) and serious-minded young air hostess Xiaoxiao (Shu Qi).
After an amusing prelude in which Qin presides over a lavish divorce ceremony for an amicably splitting married couple, he and Xiaoxiao decide to address their own relationship barriers — her youth and beauty, his cynical, childish sense of humor — by entering into a trial marriage while on a trip to the country's tropical southeast.
《非誠勿擾2》的故事延續著上一部的脈絡：從北海道回來，笑笑(舒淇飾)對方先生徹底死心,對愛情也灰心了。但和秦奮(葛優飾)的交往一直讓她內心很矛盾：有時覺得此人很貼心，也有趣；有時又覺得他很情緒化，挺大的人了卻仍然像個孩子？她怎麼能和一個孩子結婚呢？最讓她糾結的是：雖然她很努力，很想讓自己愛上秦奮，然而卻始終止步於好感。秦奮已經不年輕了，對笑笑他還是很中意的，一定要找人搭幫過日子，沒比她合適的。最起碼每天看著不煩。和笑笑不同，在結婚這件事上，他是希望盡快把笑笑這把生米煮成熟飯的。求婚不成的秦奮與笑笑商量決定兩人先看看對方到底合不合適，於是他在三亞租了一套別墅，正式開始了和笑笑“試婚”的日子……
