Researchers show a DLC projector screen visible under normal light.
The big problem today is that projectors for optimal performance require
completely dark room, very unlike the technology shown by researchers
from Tohoku University in Japan, working in rooms normal lighting.
The projector DLC (Diffused Light Control) causes the light emitted by the
projector to be sent directly to those who see, through the use of special
panels that are used as a screen.
The external light, in turn, is reflected sideways, or absorbed by the panel.
Thus, the device can be used on roofs without changing the light level, allowing
people take notes without difficulty and avoiding uncomfortable dizziness or headaches.
The system is not yet ready for use by the general public, because there are some
problems to be solved, such as the fact that you can see the divisions between
used as display panels, and that does not work in places with natural light because
it is much brighter.
Anyway, the researchers say they are confident that these complications may resolve
at some point so you have a product that works well under all lighting conditions.
