Hmmmmm......I don't dispute that the adult film industry is very lucrative in a lot of ways, but, like Ceewan said, some documentation would make the statement easier to swallow.

The amount of money Japan spends on national defense is equivalent to approximately 46 billion US dollars (2008) annually - less than 1 percent of their gross domestic product. This figure comes from Wikipedia in the following article :

As for annual revenues from pornagraphy and/or other sex related industries, I could find no references. I did, however, find this most interesting scientific paper :
