Is it just me, or there's something off about Asians in Amerikan porn? It's not easy to put my finger on it, those Asians who appear in Amerikan porn have rather indistinctive racial features. i don't think what you are talking about is racism, just personal preference. racism is to hate people because of how they look, not to find some people or body types unattractive. i, for one, find most white or european women to look like pigs, some of the ugliest people out there, i think. i like big full lips, round faces, wide mouths and big butts and hips. most of the european diaspora have none of those facial features or body types. so i think they look like monsters with they're square heads, thin lips, small mouths and flat flat asses. is that racist or just my personal preference? black, latina and pacific island women tick all the right box's for me, east asian 3 out of 4 (asian's have the flat ass but it fits the smaller body type plus they have all the facial features and that is more important to me anyway).

Shaned basically touched on it, but I'd like to add a little to clarify. Let me first start off by saying this: Asian Americans and native Asians "look" a bit different. (this is very hard to explain, its not all technical, but you could predict, without hearing for an accent, a person of Asian descent's nationality). This is due to protein expression, diets, nature versus nurture, yada yada yada.

In general, non-Asian Americans (still) have a sort of convoluted view on whatever is "Asian" (whether racial, anthropological, cultural, social, etc). This is not exception in porn. They cannot distinguish the Asian ethnicities, yet at the same time they have this expectation (a profiling) of Asian entities. For the case of physicality, it is, ironically, a mixture of that native Asian look with some Western features. Essentially they want that "skanky" look that they love in all women for porn + the typical Asian look.

starlight, i don't want for this to turn into a thread about political correctness but one about views on beauty. i think your other post hit the nail on the head. i think U.S porn makers are looking for a western type of beauty, even from asian stars. the type of girls you see in japanese av don't fit the mold of western beauty. that's why i like jav.
