Can we make the header smaller please?

Hi. Can the header be made a bit smaller please? It pushes the page content down and makes you scroll on every page. It only really needs to be as high as the search box I think.

what system are you using and what resolution?
you will always have to scroll a bit (even if it's just to go over the ad-header?)
