Depfile and phony JAV sites

This may have been discussed before, but why is it that I would say 95% of the phony JAV sites use depfile as the download host? They all follow the same pattern(which I am aware has been covered previously)- they feature films no legitimate site carries- they require a captcha to access the download link- and the movie download is always given a designation other than the original movie code. And as stated above, they always use depfile. Are they one of the cheaper download hosts?

For me, I think it's because those download hosts aren't available on unrestrained downloader services (I use them). So, this way, the casual visitor will bought a premium account on Depfile (with an affiliate link of course) and will notice only after that the movie isn't the good one. Even if the visitor is fooled, the website owner got a % of the registration.

I've always assumed it is the same party or individual putting up these sites, which are cheap of not free to host, so they can lay multiple traps. Anyway, sure, things like this have been discussed.
