DMM - Sales Rankings - Second Half - Year 2024 !

I don't know if people here are interested into knowing which titles sell well or not. I understand that DMM is not accessible for those who are not in Japan, so I do this thread to give general idea.
Daily an Weekly rankings are not super interesting, because the volumes sold are not huge. So to start, I put ranking for the first half of 2023 !

And the winner for the first six months of 2023 : 森咲智美 !
If I look at the popular ones from this forum, it has been not a good first half of year at all, compared to 2022.

香月杏珠 (Anju) classified 87.
近藤あさみ (Asami) classified 94 and 100.
高梨あい (Ai) not classified.

That is maybe why now Asami is almost doing thong in her last DVD (chapter 6) ! We will see how it is classified in couple weeks for the second half of 2023 !

And here are the DMM sales for the whole Year 2023 ! This time I put the top 10 as screenshot ! If I look at the popular ones from this forum, what can we say about 2023 as a whole ?

香月杏珠 (Anju) did 3 DVDs in 2023: None appears in the Top 100.

• ニーハイコレクション ～新章～(BFAA-087) is not classified.
• ふれたいおなか (BFAA-091) is 87th of the first semester, but is not in the Top 100.
• 乙女のはにかみ (BFAA-096) is 62th of the second semester, but is not in the Top 100.

=> In 2022, she had 3 DVDs in the Top 100 (26th / 42th and 99th), so for her 2023 was not a good year at all.

近藤あさみ (Asami) did 5 DVDs in 2023: None appears in the Top 100.

• あさみ日和 ～新章～ part3 (BFAA-088) : 100th of the first semester.
• あさみのしず (BFAA-092) : 94th of the first semester.
• ゆったり (BFAA-094) ended 97th of the second semester.
• あさみについて(BFAA-098) ended 92th of the second semester.

=> In 2022, she had 1 DVDs in the Top 100 (41th), so for her 2023 was not a good year too. Her semester results have been bad too vs 2022 (she had one title as high as 35th in the first semester of 2022).

高梨あい (Ai) not classified.
柏木さりな (Sarina) not classified, but her first title ended 88th of the second semester of 2023.

On the Tiktok delivery today, both Asami and Sarina said they do not have planned shootings for now. Asami still has at least one shooting done and not released. It would not be surprising that she keeps exposing more, in the continuity of the last 2 DVDs.
If you have a specific title or model you'd like me to check, just ask (as i know many do not have access to DMM).

Looking at the bodies of the models who sold best, we can see why Anju, Asami and Ai didn't rank.

Yeah and I'm not too surprised. Face has been basically putting them in the same video for the past couple of years with minimal changes between them. I would be more surprised if consumers/fans just didn't get a bit tired eventually.

i check from time to time on 5ch forums about the girls and the common complaints from the fans is that the dvd's are quiet repetitive (same poses, almost same wardrobe , same thematic) per example they say because of Asami's age, she should do more risky outfits and poses but instead act too conservative, in the case of Anju they saw a big improve on BFAA-085 but then BFAA-087 was a downgrade, again 091 was great but then 098 was so so, so its more about the inconsistencies in the releases and this contribute in lower sales, they are hoping on sarina to change this but now that she say she dont have shootings scheduled and been a freelancer its quiet difficult to see consecutive launches from her. BFAA-100 seems to have good sales (got like 5 days in a row as #1 on DMM). we need to wait if new models that graduate from JK this year (Eyu) got releases too for this year.

On the other hand Anju seems more clear on what she wants, and she is younger. She has suffered from all her health issues, but she seems more solid from a mental perspective, and she knows how to manage SNS. Now ready to get the BFAA-100 !!! Anju did a very good job at promoting it. We have lots of hopes !

Asami once said she is never going to expose more, and her videos over the last few years prove that, they are boring to a point and I think only loyal fans buy them

That chapter was the worst I have seen from her, I honestly don't know is there any fan of her enjoy that part? I am afraid she is going to retire from gravure soon, and I doubt she is mentally stable as you pointed out, she has been deleting many of her tweets especially those that contained her wearing 'ero' outfits, and I don't see her promoting her works much

The DMM sales for the Half-Year 2024 are published ! Like last time I put the top as screenshot.
Let's have a look at Anjuchan and Asamichan

香月杏珠 (Anjuchan) released 2 DVDs in first semester of 2024:

• シンデレラストーリー ～杏ちゃんの育乳日記～(BFAA-100) is not classified but it is maybe because lots of them were ordered in end 2023. Most sales are done before the release date, because of the checkies.
• 風薫る/香月杏珠 (BFAA-102) is 56th of the first semester. There is little chance it can stay in the year Top 100, but result is OK. On this one Anjuchan is more agressive.

(Reminder : 2022, she had 3 DVDs in the Top 100 of the year (26th / 42th and 99th))

近藤あさみ (Asamichan) released 2 DVDs in first semester of 2024:

• あさみの秘密旅行 (BFAA-101) : 58th of the first semester. That is her best result since 2022, where she had one which reached 35th of first semester. I thought it would do better, because this time they made her wear better things and also act better. Age may start be a problem now (?).
• ニーハイコレクション ～新章～ 近藤あさみ Part8 (BFAA-103) : 92th of the first semester. I am surprised this one even made top 100 of first semester. It is first time Asamichan did not even promoted it. No picture, no pinned tweet, almost not talk about it... I wonder if she was not proud of the DVD...

Next semester we may have some "Reinachan" and also Eyuchan who is releasing her first DVD, so that will be interesting.
For Asamichan, last time I watched live, there was still no shooting planned. I wonder why there was no shooting for one year now....

She is considered Rank 1 Gravure Idol for now.

Man, these are sparkly changes for them. Their gravure careers are not going up at all; in the contrary, they're on the decline. I wonder, who's to blame for this? Are both of them with the same agency?

It is amazing that Rui keeps it up there after all these years! I was talking to a friend here about her these days; I was never too much into her, but literally a couple weeks ago, something snapped in me and I suddenly became a fan after watching bits of TSBS-81114. At 33 yo now, I realize she is the best she's ever been! An absolute beast.

Yeah I think Rui has an amazing body and a really seductive body language and intense stare which is great. But compared to Natsuki Yui for instance her videos are a bit too plain. I wish she would do a bit more sexy stuff!

I agree she's probably gone as far as she's going to go. She's made a ton of IV, starting when she was in her teens I think. They're all pretty much alike, so it would be a surprise for her to do anything very different now. She's in her thirties, so she's probably coming to the end of this part of her career. She has an extravagant figure and a sweet face. I just (selfishly) wish she would do some glamor nudes before she moves on to whatever is next for her.

Just "Second Half of the Year Sales". Because when you look at the date of sales, it is all at the second half of the year. But I still put it here :



Let's have a look at the "FACE Girls" !

平山えゆ (Eyuchan) : did only one DVD before graduating, but sales were not so bad !

• 18の夏/平山えゆ : ended 40th of the second half of the year. That means there is a chance to have ended in the top 100 sales of last year !
• Too bad Eyuchan disapeared all of the sudden couple months after the release because she had good chances to have better sales if she kept doing movies.

香月杏珠 (Anjuchan) :

• ほなね。/香月杏珠 : reached place 52 of the second half of 2024 and did a little better than the previous title.
• Same than Eyuchan. Now Anjuchan graduated from Bambina and is now doing Fantia. It is interesting that since she left she has been much more aggressive, like Aichan (高梨あい). But not to the point of filming movies with man.

近藤あさみ (Asamichan) released 2 DVDs in second semester of 2024:

• 夏恋日和/近藤あさみ : 74th of the second semester. The second part was not as aggressive as the first, and of course you see that in sales.
• たおやかな君/近藤あさみ : 98th of the second semester. It was an average DVD. There are some good sequences there, but of course not as agressive as the "Two Trips". I thought it would do a little bit better.
• Asamichan has not promoted her titles a lot for months now. She said in TikTok that she had received material, but then decided not to use it or even ask for more material.

Now there is only Asamichan doing movies with FACE. There is big title coming end of March 2025. This time it is from recent shooting !

It is presented as "mature" and "filmed with mature style". It is again Chunpeisan (チュンペイ) who is doing it.
So we can expect something similar to the "Two Trips" (BFAA-101 and BFAA-105) ! I imagine she has no real choice if she wants continue sell DVD.

Rui Kiriyama made top 12, I guess that means she's still quite popular. Hikaru "Alien" Aoyama made an incredible top 5 with Blue Lagoon -- I'd say that's plenty deserved, that video is pretty good and she's still stacked and delicious af. But, of all of them, I'm super impressed with Fumie, 56 yo and still making top 10. And that's her releasing only 1 title/year! I never watched her videos but I'm always curious so see what she's like on camera. Certainly an attractive senior lady.

@Tokyoboy77 good to know there's new stuff coming up with Asami. Here's hoping, as always, that they'll try to amp up the sexy factor this time... The fact that Chunpei is directing is a positive.
