Hot JAV stars in "character roles"?

Flip it around, there are countless pretty boys and pretty girls who can make it by good looks only and not much talent and effort. Keanu Reeves. Enough said.

In JAV, it also seems a huge tendency for very hot looking stars to crank out films after films that are formulaic and "boring if not for how hot she is" category. This seems especially true for young stars. It seems more likely that an older (but still hot) JAV stars takes more effort into "character" realm.

The two kinds of JAV that I like: "situational porn" and young hot superstars, the two doesn't seem to overlap so much. (one problem is differently that I tend to like JAV with more than one girls but superstars are usually in "individual works", that's another topic)

One outdated example is Takako Kitahara who retired back in 2008. Super hot and many of her films she has interesting roles (or at least she made a formulaic character interesting).

For me EBOD-295 seems to be quiet a deal. But I haven't watched it yet. I hope she will also do some movies for Attackers as well as for Madonna (the JUX-*** line). This month's vid is called Doki Doki Exposure Sex Aimi Yoshikawa (D/L link, BT link). These links are the 3GB HD version, on Akiba if you search TEAM-036 you will find a couple other versions, a 1+ GB version which is a good size, but it has the huge horrific yellow watermark, so I avoided it. The keyword here is exposure sex, and why this title belongs in this thread. Having started her career as a S1 (or S1-ish if you think her face is somewhat ordinary) star which usually means her roles and vids tends to be mundane, Aimi is gradually (a bit too gradually) shifting into more "character" roles. (E.g. "Situation 10" TEAM-025)

The premise can be called reality porn, I guess. Aimi, as herself, is given an assignment of doing sex in the public. At the beginning of the film, Aimi gets in the changing room, strip naked and then put on an outdoor coat, one that's quite conservative and a tad ugly, even. The better to hide her secret, I guess. Then she went out and is driven around town. In the whole process she keeps up a conversation, which unfortunately isn't translated. One might speculate that a off-camera producer and her are discussing how to go about filming the assignment without getting caught. At some point, she and the crew get off the car and go on foot, and cue:

Scene 1: Aimi walks along a deserted minor street in a boring looking neighborhood. She's clothed in the coat and her part of the video is clear, however, the rest of the video frame is comprehensively mosaiced up to obscure the location of the neighborhood. Yep it looks pretty weird, but it does give off the "exposure sex" feel right off the bat. After a minute or so of walking, she unbuttons the coat and expose her tits and pussy, unfortunately this streaking part is all too short. It would be so much better if it last a couple minutes and maybe some other pedestrians comes into the scene (even if it means she has to close up her coat again. Anyway while the streaking is minimal, the vid quickly moves on the scene proper, which is located in an outside-the-building staircase, she got up to about 3rd floor and expose herself again. She's obviously a bit shy about this, doing a threesome in a studio is one thing, exposing her goodies in the public is another. Actually no one other than the camera and the crew actually see anything. There was a shot from street level which shows that only her face (wearing an embarrassed smile) and seemingly clothed shoulders are visible from the street. No it's not one of those riot-inducing public sex scene. A guy (presumably a performer) comes into the camera and fingered her pussy for a while. She's supposed to have squirted from the wet splatter on the floor even thought I didn't notice the squirting action itself. I somewhat believe the squirt in this case, precisely because the director doesn't make a big deal with the close-up camera and what-not, and the splatter pattern on the floor doesn't look like a puddle of piss. Then he unzip his jeans and Aimi, after a moment's hesitation, sucks his cock. The whole scene is quite short. Exposure sex, technically correct and there's some intensity I suppose, but no civilian actually saw anything.

Scene 2: now she comes into a convenience store and goes about pretending to shop. There's a store clerk and another man reading a magazine from the rack. There's a dragged out build-up as she fusses about and nothing actually develops. Then she received verbal instruction on a wireless device, and she opens her coat to the (fake) security camera of the store. Finally, she exposes herself to the magazine reader and the scene moved on to real sex. After a while another customer enters the store and end up joining in. There's some nice pounding from two ends (mouth and pussy). Oh a key point here is that all males in the scene (engaging in sex or not) had their faces obscured the whole time. I don't actually believe they were real joe-on-the-street, but the effect is still good.

Scene 3: we now know the pattern, the location is a nice hippy cafe. Again she seduce two of the customers in the cafe. The action is more bodacious since she never fully took off her coat in the convenience store, but here in the cafe she's fully naked and sucking and fucking quite openly.

Scene 4: moving on, now she's wearing a wool hat, a scarf, a hip-length pakka and nothing else. For someone with her pussy and ass out, her outfit is very UN-sexy. Evidently it was still in the cold season. She's in the woods and got finger fucked and dildoed. She took off the pakka but put it back on half-way through the scene perhaps it was too cold. The very unflattering hat and scarf stayed on the whole time. A bit of a fail, this scene. The killer is that the woods is so secluded there isn't any exhibitionist tension, and the site is so boring and cold there isn't any Adam-and-Eve-in-Paradise kind of naturalistic passion.

Scene 5: final scene happens at a hot spring. There's no more wearing-nothing-under-a-coat pretension, here being naked or nearly naked is the norm. Aimi quickly engages two, and then three, men, giving all of them the typical Aimi experience. At some point she was slightly overwhelmed as the three men all wanted to penetrate her available orifices. There's another good oral-vaginal-DP, which is becoming her trademark technique. OVDP has been standard operating procedure (SOP) in Western porn since the 80s, but is really underutilized in JAV. Perhaps it's the over-politeness of Japanese culture. Even in coitus Japanese men's natural instinct is to queue up rather than gangbang. As a sex scene it's fine enough. As Exposure Sex, it's not living up to standard.

Overall, scenes 2 and 3 are worth the download, but the vid's "Exposure" value is only so so. Aimi is a wanton young lady who still knows the necessity of outward decency, which is the key ingredient in this genre. So she did as best she could. But I think the producer/director was the failure here. They should have created better scenes where many more bystanders (at least 5, ideally over 30 people) are in the vicinity. Consider the Magic Mirror Go series, even though the pedestrians are totally unaware of the sex, showing them walking past behind the Magic Mirror adds a lot to the psycho-excitement of the action. We should have had at least a few more (fake) onlooker who was shocked by her nudity and/or sex in public. With at most 1 onlooker who's so obviously party to the crime, the tension of exposure sex is drastically under-delivered.

It could have been a lot better, but she's a hottie, an excellent performer of sex. And there's enough Character (happens to be her "real" character, which is a bonus) to justify entry in this thread.
