How much do you like Yua Mikami?

I saw one topic about her (Yua and fake news). It's an interesting post (thanks OP), but it's locked so I couldn't make a post there. Then I was wondering what people in this forum think about her.

If you ask me, she's one of my fav av idols, but her acting could be better imo.... but I would love to hear your opinions

If you go by common metrics, face, figure, sexual skills, acting (non sex) skills, songs and dance (her backstroy) etc, she's good but not great. But what makes her super special is she is playing every aspects of her peraona to the T. There is no one else who is doing as well rounded a job. The only one who came close I think was Maria Ozawa, her persona was rebellious slightly self-loathing slut-bitch.

I think bad/corny acting skill is part of a J-pop idol persona. If she suddenly put in a Shakespeare performance or sings Ave Maria or dance like Beyonce, that's persona breaking. Better than total amature, but not artistically serious. And we know she knows that she would forever be a nobody in mainstream celeb if she isn't putting out full on pornography once a month.

I agree with you. Even though I also think her acting is average, I just realized that it's part of her personality and it's interesting that way. If she suddenly turns slutty like Yui Hatano then it would become weird/fake. The only thing I know about her past is that she's from SKE48. That's it. So I'd like that if you tell me more about her. Really appreciate that!

The reason is simple, it costs nothing basically to ask the performers (male, female and non-fucking support cast) to say the words and make whatever sound, it matters not (almost) how well or badly a job is performed by the cast. Yes some people complains but they don't really impact the sales that much. For the small minority that has almost a fetish on sexual audio, there are idols/vids/studios who specialize in it to satisfy them, and anyway those fans won't like a dubbed AV either. Finally most important reason: it costs too much to dub. Oh yeah... I remember there was a big-studio vid that made a big deal about the hi-fi sound recording during the sex scene. But it was a one off, not even a niche (e.g. the "talk dirty" series that most big studios have).

A slightly unconnected example, not just Aimi's voice/moan, I can't stand her smile either. When she smiles I want her to pull a paper bag over her head. But it's a minor factor affecting how much I like her. Anyway it's near miracle I can divert my eyes from her tits to notice her smile.

Anyway I want to mention one idea about the sex sound. We in the outside world complain about JAV screams/moans as fake or annoying. But it's almost certainly a difference in taste and culture. It's wrong to think women all over the world should sound about the same during sex. She doesn't really smile, she winces. After so many years, she still look like her debut vid, wincing disguised as a smile to hide her discomfort, well it's normal for debutante but now... I have to say my smile is not charming either, but I'm aware of it, and anyway I don't make a living in the pleasure business.

Bend it back to YM... YM has a wonderful J-pop idol smile. Maybe not what I want when I have sex with a girlfriend or wife. But for J-pop sexual encounter, her smile is... very professional

She started a youtube channel with gaming vids. I also always take interviews with a grain of salt as it might be 100% bullshit. Shunka Ayami also has a smoking hot body, very similar to Yua's, but don't you think her face changed too much ? Not sure if it's just makeup or because she fixed her teeth, but her nose and eyes look different.

Back to Yua, she's one of my favorite. I tend to prefer Shoko Takahashi when it comes to former popular idols, but Yua is also a very good actress. She also doesn't even need to wear any sexy clothes to look attractive :
