Personally I am one who loves boobs of all kinds--I love to look at beautiful wonders of nature but I can also appreciate the nasty, slutty appeal of a girl with big fake ones. I even like cute itty bitty titties on a girl if she's got a tight, skinny body. So when I say a girl does or doesn't I'm not saying it makes her less attractive in any way.
I know that it's a common source of debate whether or not an actress's breasts are natural or not. I'm here to talk about how to recognize fake breasts as they frequently appear in JAV.
Most of us have our idea of "fake" based on American porn stars who get what look like two silicone-filled balloons sticking out of their chest. I think we all know what they look like. There are some JAV stars who get this kind of implant, too. The way these usually work is that the doctor makes an incision under the nipple and puts the implant over the breasts, directly under the skin. This makes the breasts look extremely round and stretched out.
There is another kind, which I've seen called an "under boob" implant, which is fairly rare in America because it's more expensive and more risky. The way it works is, the doctor makes an incision under the armpit then puts the implant under the fat and other tissue of the breast. This is a much more difficult operation and harder on the woman from what I understand. This is why most American porn stars go the "balloony" route. But in Japan, more women want to get breasts that are real-looking and won't be noticed by fans or people in everyday life so easily, and they're more common. I would say more than half of implants in Japanese porn are this type.
But they can be hard to find, because unlike "balloony" ones the differences between real and fake are quite subtle. This is because the main part you see is the real breast. And when you see them move, they will often move realistically because you are seeing the real breast move. If the woman has good ones it is almost impossible to tell if you don't know what to look for.
So to illustrate what to look for, I will use a JAV porn star from the early 2000s who has a very obvious form of these implants (if you know how and what to look for): Ms. Miri Sugihara. (すぎはら美里)
They sure look real, don't they? And I want to restate, before I say this, how this isn't a matter of ranking women as more or less pretty for me. And while they aren't as well-hidden as most big name JAV stars with this style of breasts, I'm not saying they're bad implants. Miri got them before she was a porn star. She actually started out as a regular actress. With the implants, she probably just wanted to get something that would make her look busty but look natural under normal circumstances. They work great for this. Even in nude photos, unless she's moving a lot (like during sex) they're pretty indistinguishable from the real thing.

Still look pretty natural, don't they? They also look very natural when she's sitting up:
But there are some times when it becomes really obvious they're fake. One is when she's on her back having sex. The bottom part of her breast barely moves because it is silicone, but the real breast part on top jiggles and flops naturally. In motion you can actually see clearly how the implant part is stiff while the real part moves naturally. There's this round, dome-shaped base and the nipples are sort of sliding back and forth on top of it:
It becomes obvious even when she's not moving when Miri is bent over forward with her breasts hanging down. You actually can clearly see the flesh of her natural breast hanging down under the dome-shaped implant:
Another thing that can help you tell is the scars. Now since they're under the armpit they're very hard to spot. If the surgery is skillfully done (and almost all Japanese plastic surgery is skillfully done) it will just be a crease and those are naturally under the armpit. But I think you can see Miri's scars, as shown in this screenshot:
See how she has a pronounced line on her left armpit? It may look too small for an implant but that is probably because while surgeons usually can't remove scars completely they can make them smaller and harder to see. Miri's surgeon probably did this after the implants.
I couldn't find a screenshot that shows it as clearly on her right armpit, but I think this one does show that she has a similar scar in the same spot on her right armpit even if it is harder to see:

I hope it is hopeful to people. Again, on actresses with really well-done implants, especially recent ones, it is harder to tell. There might be some that are so well done I've never noticed them. But I think if you know what to look for you will start noticing more implants in JAV stars. Good luck on finding them yourself!

It's a shame she was active back when video quality was so much lower because unfortunately her videos don't look very good by today's standards. But Miri's beauty still comes through (for me anyway) and she's a really good performer so if you don't mind old JAV I do recommend her.
