In 2020, does it matter if a JAV star comes out as bisexual?

Mirei Aikawa did this and the reaction was well...muted.

We wonder if previous industry “real life lesbian friends” tropes had something to do with this.

My thoughts: I’m sure there are many pay-for-play JAV stars but the number who truly are bisexual let alone lesbian is probably quite low. I do think Sora is the real deal though even though her initial relationship had a lot of PR attached to it.

Not really, I suppose - as long as they are confortable with it being public knowledge, and that they aren't harassed for it. I learned bisexuality isn't just one person liking both genders, it's anywhere in-between.

If a JAV star is legitimately bisexual, they shouldn't be forced to perform with a gender they're not much into, but who knows what they do.
