Is Kanako Lioka aka Kana Morisawa a major JAV star?

After a significant time away from JAV, I came across an actress I really dig.
Was drawn because she resembled smaller slightly more filled out version of my SO . Although I still mainly watch western porn, if it was JAV Lioka was my go to.

So naturally I search her up and she looks to have an extensive body of work with multiple genres, spanning a decade, with famous studios, even her own health channel on YouTube.
Yet a search on Akiba forums and there’s hardly anything on her in discussions.

So I’m just curious. Is Kanako Lioka a big name in the JAV industry or is she just a long running veteran tailored to a very narrow subset of guys that find her looks and mannerisms appealing?

She shows up occasionally in titles I have but I haven't been actively aware of her or tracking her releases as a favorite. Admittedly I'm mostly into niche stuff (yes, release schedules/amounts would suggest F/F is definitely niche) so I'm probably in no position to judge!

Still, she has minimally over 800 titles and a lot of solo work so I would have to assume she sells well. I'd say that makes her a star, at least in her homeland.

There are many idols in the top 40 and/or 3+ year veterans who never get a mention on Akiba Online. There are even quite a few top 10 idols who don't get mentioned in here. The Japanese fandom, the English-speaking fandom and Chinese-speaking fandom do overlap but there are also some discrepancies.

I even know for a fact that several idols are top fav amongst Akiba users but don't get mentioned on here. E.g. myself, I hardly ever mention many of my favs and monthly follows. They just don't have much to worth mention, quietly and steadily making sex vids for my enjoyment.

As for Kana Morisawa 森沢かな formerly Kanako Lioka 飯岡かなこ hmm I have to admit I never noticed her before. Oh sure I must have seen her scenes, but her name didn't register. From her filmography she is one of those career veterans: started very modestly in 2012 in uncensored Tokyo Hot and 1Pondo, then a few months later appeared in censored "amateur" vids. With that kind of debut, the normal expectation is for her to disappear within 6 months and never get noticed. But here we are, almost 10 years later and she is a solid planning actress (企画女優) with multiple solo covers per month.

So is she a major star? No, she's not even a minor star. She never was. But 10 years career with such huge filmography (mostly solo works) she must have a solid fan base. Just a blind guess: she's probably quite happy with her own career.

I would think lesbian titles make up less than 5% of releases. Note that DMM and other sites will list anything trans/crossdressing with cis girl as "lesbian". Worse still, anything where two girls interact in a movie that predominantly features straight sex will be listed that way also.

Maybe if you treat vanilla, anal, BJ, big tits, cosplay etc as separate genres then lesbian could seem larger. That seems disingenuous to me though.
