Remember that JAV movie you downloaded with a prefix like "better_****"? Those were from nodejav. I think it was one of the biggest archives for JAV on the Internet, but the website's probably been gone for who knows how long at this point. I was trying to download an old movie earlier and every link I could find was dead, so I thought I'd check the main site of nodejav as a last resort, but it wasn't there anymore. Their last post on Javlibrary was back in June 2024, and the weird thing is I can't even find any info about it on Google. No one's mentioned anything about it anywhere, no forums, no Discord. Pretty strange, considering how big nodejav kinda was.
It can be a big deal because if you were hoping to grab some older movies in full resolution, like from 2015 or 2014, you would be probably out of luck. Nodejav was one of the few source consistently re-uploading those for you with working links. It’s a big loss if it's gone, we would be left hoping to find old AV through torrents only (if lucky).
I really hope they come back, but after half a year of silence, it’s looking pretty unlikely. Has anyone caught wind of what happened? Any rumors? Another shutdown from the Japanese? Or just simply out of service?
