Japanese porn parodies tuna fish auction with naked “market”

Earlier this week, we wrote about the brilliant Japanese porn parody of the Korean Netflix series Squid Game. Of course it’s called Squirt Game.
Now comes a source of inspiration closer to home.
Ever year, the Japanese and international media is full of news about a record-breaking tuna auction bid. Often these bids are publicity stunts, done by people like the head of conveyor-belt sushi chain Sushiro.
This week, a 276 kg bluefin tuna fetched ¥207 million, which is a cool $1.31 million, at the first auction of 2025 at Toyosu wholesale fish market (the successor to Tsukiji market). This eye-watering sum is the second-highest price ever paid at a first auction since 1999.
The highest-priced bluefin tuna was sold at the first auction of the year in 2019 for ¥333.6 million.
Cashing in on this timing, a new porn release by Soft on Demand features a bunch of naked female performers in the roles of “tuna,” laid out like slabs on blue tarpaulin on a market floor and given very intimate physical inspections by prospective buyers. Regardless of who is doing what to them, they almost never react!

The AV even includes parodies of the kind of media interviews that vendors and fishermen give at such auctions.
One schoolgirl “fish” is then bought and delivered to a private room at a high-end Ginza restaurant for a very sensual meal. She arrives in the ice box just like the actual ones used to transport fish, and a male diner gets to work enjoying his feast.
In addition to the headline-making tuna auctions, the parody AV is playing with two tropes. One is that tuna (maguro) is a slang word for a woman who just lies impassively on her back during sex, doing nothing. The other is nyotaimori, the practice of serving sushi on naked bodies of women.
The 163-minute AV, Tokyo Nyoko (Tokyo Female Port), by SOD Create (code 1SDDE00741) comes out on DVD on January 23, but is already available on streaming format.
It stars lots of performers, but Nagisa Shiraishi makes the biggest impact as the schoolgirl.
