I get your point. As I was reading I realized I had not purchased, DL'd or watched any Julia movies literally in years! When I'm searching, I see the covers and see how she is still keeping herself in phenomenal shape, which led me to think, "What are you talking about?", because she still looks so good but you're correct. I think the last time I watched one of her vids was pre-pandemic and it was great but it was already and older vid back then! Last new vid of hers I watched I do remember thinking that she looked like she was just counting on her looks to get us off (and she is attractive to be sure) but not putting much into the performance.

I'm also someone who believes a good performance is way better than a pretty face any day! I wrote something about this on the jukujo page (I think) recently. I used Hitomi Enjo (often mis-transliterated as Hitomi Enshiro) as my example. I do think she's attractive, to be sure, but her thing is that she looks like a "normal" older housewife and mother but her performances are incredibly intense! Her facial expressions really tell a whole story! And the way she speaks is so hot. She's the Kathleen Turner of the JAV industry, at least as far as her voice is concerned. It may be time for Julia to transition to just being a gravure model or try to do what Nao Oikawa has done and become a "tarento" (Talent) meaning a show host for hire. I agree about Yu Shinoda.
I'm not a big fan of her but when I watched her 3 years ago she looked good, healthy, and her performance were good.
I even went back further and found she actually had more weight and looked even better. Better ass and everything.

Meaning they can't understand you.

If Makun had his voice ADR. It was so bad, the director must've been frustrated, couldn't hear what the f*** he was saying... or Makun had trouble reading his lines. And replace it with a girl voice lol
