Hey, I was wondering does anybody know of a good JAV english subtitle translator (willing to pay), that is willing to do an old-ish JAV film? Also if anyone has experience with purchasing custom made subs would love to hear your experience.

Ordered two times subtitles on jav.guru (on his Discord) it cost me 40 and 50$ (first time quality was good, second time worse). Then he went to frozen mode, i got the impression he not interested to continue (thanks to him for my saved money). That was at the end of 2018, i don't know as now.
By "Custom" do you mean an actual "Literal" translation of a specific title or are you looking for someone to create a custom story "interpretation" of an existing video?
I ask because I enjoy that latter myself. I don't know Japanese, so I don't create literal translations. I enjoy creating realistic subtitles that are an "interpretation" of what is on the screen. It allows me to cater the dialog to my own preferences, including my more specific kinks.
I wouldn't ask for, or even accept money in exchange for a custom subtitle. They are extremely time consuming, but I enjoy the creative process, including:
- Creating dialog that flows in tune with the story. Every word has to align with the entire story. Details have to remain consistent throughout the entire project.
- Creating subtitles that are believable and match the length of time the characters are speaking.
- Using language that is more closely aligned with US speaking patterns
- Interpreting the actors vocal tonality, facial expression, scene continuity,etc.

I'm interested with that ideas... I'll help with timing the sub, all you gotta do just put whatever creative story in your mind that fit the video
Just to be clear, I have never and would never ask for payment for what I do. I do it for fun, as a hobby. Some people like better, others less. My friends whom I have shown in person all express compliments and say that they prefer my style to the otherwise stale, typical dialog that is all too common in porn, whether English, Japanese, or otherwise.
As such, I don't feel any particular need to study Japanese.
Thanks for your comments, however.
I think is not that easy to put your own interpretation in video that you watch. You still need time n effort to do that and I really appreciate the hard work. For others that might against it either they don't like the translation or they making money from it and starting to lose customer because they prefer the interpretation one since you can actually have more potential to have your favorite jav being interpret with zero charge.
