The thing is that they ARE complete lookalikes (well, same person, duh)... And I never really noticed it.

It's interesting that she was quite "nerfed" over time, seeing as she used to show much more in Clubteen's videos, which were her first couple of releases, than she ever did under other labels later on.
 
She's very alike to Ami Sasano but isn't her. Ami has sweeter face & different mouth
IMHO.
 
I just looked at the birthdates. According to the dates, Ami was born 5 and a half months after Ruri.
 
This only means a different mother.

Don't believe covers' info, just look at the pictures I've posted on previous post : Ami and Rui are the same girl. Ami lost fat and got more athletic but she have the same smile, same nose, same teeth, same jaw and same eyes as Ruri even if her eyelids seem to be a bit thinner now.

Take 2nd and 3rd picture, and use photoshop :
