Compared to the 2000s where most girls in most scenes were White Americans these days all the new porn I watch is mainly of latinas either from America or South America. Why do you think this is? Do you feel that the porn capital of America is slowly moving away from California and more towards Miami?

Latina is such a broad term. In Miami, for instance, you are mostly talking Cuban and Puerto Rican while in California you are mostly talking Mexican and South American. Most illegals and immigrants come from the latter group which means they are more easily exploited or are just hard up for money. So I would say you are still talking about California here. As the latino population in California is now the majority instead of minority one could also conclude that the AV produced is geared towards that target audience.
Of course I am mostly just kibitzing here. I prefer retro western porn, when I can find a decent copy of it. I don't like the new stuff that much (though I do enjoy some of the porn parodies of real movies).

I agree with Ceewan, latino population in California now are majority, so latina who want to get quick money working for porn movies are increase, thats why we see more of them in porn

What skin color or race gets dominance in porn has nothing to do with the welfare of that race. So do you claim that in the 90s when white girls dominated porn it was because American Whites were poorer than Negros and Latinas???
The color and race is decided by the paying consumers, whatever the dominant demand is, that color will dominate the supply. So there must be a shift in the customers preference towards brown or light brown women, perhaps the generation of boys who watched Dora the Explorer has finally grown up?

A lot of wannabe actresses, runaways and poor caucasian girls were exploited and turned to porn to make a living or just help get them through college. The world was different in the 90s', America was different in the 90s', the internet was different in the 90s' and porn was going through major changes in the 80s-90s'. There was also a large influx of Eastern European women coming to America and tricked or forced into prostitution and/or ending up in the porn industry (well documented fact, even happened in my neighborhood) during that same time period. This was due to the fall of the USSR. The influx of latino immigrants is due to much of the terror that lives have become south of the Rio Grande all the way into South America and we are seeing a lot of the same thing and have been for more than a decade.
There are very few girls who seek to become pornstars when they grow up. That is a fact that is common for all nationalities. Granted, the increase in demand for a more diverse ethnic cast plays a part. You made a good point there. I think that is due more to the internet than anything else because now these companies reach a much larger audience. The supply of actresses is likely done the same it it has always been done though. Porn actresses are not known for their college degrees, technical training (there is a joke there somewhere) or for their diverse employment oppurtunities. In America they tend to be drug addicts, topless or nude dancers, prostitutes, the poor and the exploited. Always has been and always will be.
Taken all that into consideration, then the main reason for the increase in latino actresses in porn is not one of demand but a sadder tale. This won't stop me from watching porn from time to time. I try not to think about the whys' and the inner mechanisms of the adult video industry. Yet you cannot think of the people who produce and run these businesses as "nice" people who treat their employees with love and respect, attracting them with money, career oppurtunities, generous health benefits and retirement plans. Be a little realistic here.
