Hello everyone,
I found a movie called Maid-Droid aka Rojin to Rabudoru: Watashi ga Shocho ni Natta Toki on xvideo.com. The movie itself isn't that great - in my opinion - and I only use it as a start of my post. Here is the summary of this movie. More information about it will be found at the end of the post.
Plot summary:
As we all know Japan has an interesting relationship to robots. I guess all of you have seen this giant mechs in some Japanese movies. Maybe some of you even had the chance to see the Gundam standing in Tokyo which was created for celebrating the 30. Anniversary of Gundam.
But this special relationship isn't only limited to fictional robots. Some Japanese companies invest a part of the energy in developing robots for commercial use, like household robots. The most famous one is maybe ASIMO from Honda.
Japan is very advanced in aspect of robot technology. There are various projects which cover various aspects of creating an android:
But back from where no man has gone before to the Japanese. As I wrote before: There are several projects ongoing in Japan which cover things like voice recognition, person and object recognition, behaviour, artificial intelligence in that aspect that machine can learn on its own and to optimize itself, and so on. They invest a lot of energy, money and man power in this. But not only the Japanese companies, also Japanese people in their leisure time busy themselves by developing better robots and better software for them. You can get robot kits and there are competitions all over the country all the time.
It seems that in Japan you can get most advanced... dolls. They don't look real at this point, but at least better than ones you will get in hour home country. Of course, they are also lot more expensive. But it looks like some Japanese men don't mind to pay that price.
These dolls can be customized in every way: The torso, the head, the hairs, and so on. There is a also a wide variety of clothes. Some even ship with a fleshlight.
Beside these dolls you can purchase artificial breasts or fleshlights which matches the real one of your favourite JAV performer.
Looking at this developments it seems only a matter of time until both of these will bring out the first real sex android. And if it will see the light of these world, the first place it will be available will be surely Japan as they don't have reservation towards robots.
Even other people who not connected to this development at all give thought about it. One example: Steven Spielberg. Maybe you've seen his movie A.I. Artificial Intelligence. Do you remember that robot called Gigolo Joe played by Jude Law?
So what are your thoughts about this topic? Would you mind sleeping with such an android looking like your favourite performer? Would you end spending your whole salary for being able to have group sex with your doll harem? Or does even the thought gross you out? What do you think will be the impact on society?
I'm interested in your opinion.
P.S.: No, I don't own any robot, no doll, no fleshlight.
I really don't do.

Plot summary:
Mr. Ueno, retired, lives alone; he talks to Maria, a maid-droid his parents brought from their factory decades ago. Maria became Ueno's companion after his parents' deaths, and now her battery is run down; there are no replacement parts. Meanwhile, Inspector Akagi and her police squad are looking for a serial r**ist that may not be human; however, if it's a robot, in harming people it would be disobeying Asimov's rules of robotics. Akagi's inquiry takes her to a droid factory run by Mr. X; he helps by explaining why host-droids, the male equivalent of a maid-droid, don't sell. What will Ueno and Akagi learn about love and the nature of men and women?

An android is a robot or synthetic organism designed to look and act like a human, and with a body having a flesh-like resemblance.
Perhaps I shouldn't have to write this quote from Wikipedia as surely know the difference of a robot and an android already from Mr. Data from Star Trek. But back from where no man has gone before to the Japanese.
