This new footage of the impressive crater was made by an
investigating team on-site and thus gives some more details
on how it may have formed.

Peninsula in (Siberia) is from a new footage filmed by a scientific
expedition sampling the undefined sinkhole. Photo: Youtube video
There is now a scientific expedition – Russian Academy of Sciences
trying to solve the mystery of the unknown giant sinkhole found in
the Yamal Peninsula in (Siberia).
It is now supposed that the deep hole was formed by an
underground explosion and was finally not created by
a meteorite impact.
I would be happy if someone could translate this
Russian video for us:
It is however still unknown how and when the crater
was formed.
What is baffling is actually the 28 inch of permafrost
reportedly surrounding the hole.
It should have melt due to the heat of an explosion.
It is therefore possible that the remote site lay
undiscovered for months if not years.

The scientific expedition is collecting samples of soil air and
water from the area to discover what artificial or natural
phenomenon is behind this mysterious hole in the
Yamal Peninsula in ( Siberia )
How did this amazing sinkhole formed?
It's like someone cut it well.
The strangest thing, what is striking
is that circle perfectly done.
The white land around it, is scorched earth
