Haha I was hoping you had a recommendation. I haven't been able to find a free modern editor without it having some strings attached.I downloaded some free software for that purpose but haven't gotten around to learning to use it. Is it hard? Do you recommend a particular editing software? I'm on PC, BTW.

For what it's worth Ive been using the old MS Movie Maker program. It's simple to use and free, though I don't think MS has a download link for it anymore and so you'll have to try a 3rd party. However the video output is of a lesser quality than the original no matter how high you set the settings, so I've been looking for an alternative. Not a huge difference most times but I'm a stickler for video quality.
I suppose looking to see if there's an opensource video editor is probably the best chance. They can be quite good but they also tend to be less beginner friendly.
Edit: Probably worth looking into clipchamp for free and easy video editing as well.
