I remember seeing lame cheap cookie cutter Western porn where you could tell the "room" was just maybe some office space with white "walls" sparingly decorated. The same comes to mind with some JAV. I wonder if they use sound proofing in the walls or around the set so that multiple titles can be filmed simultaneously at the studios? Or do they film them one after the other. I'm sure scheduling with the cast and crew is everything, but imagine how many they could get out each month if one director didn't have to wait for another to finish his project before he could start his. Or...maybe they do this already. Of course, they may also have more than one location to create background environments.

Like this set from eesthe215. Is this actually an old clinic that they use? Or a set? I know they use on location shoots quite a bit, like schools buildings, homes and apartments.

Pretty sure they film simultaneously as their productivity is way too high. Shooting is a long process.

Most are sets that can be rented out. A building may house a few. One of the classroom sets used often has the 'locker room' literally right behind the desks.

Some studios may own sets, but you'll know for sure if they film a lot of their titles in the exact same place every time.

It's more than possible a single company may film multiple titles at the same time, but you won't see the same studio rented out to two independent parties at once unless there is a way to keep the filming locations within the same building totally separate.
