I was, but I see all those links as offline. Maybe the fileserve ones are online, but I'm banned from using their services after having too many of my links reported and I'm too lazy to check using a proxy.

It's getting harder these days though since most of the good ones I was using are either down, not working properly or they banned my account like hotfile did(which was my favorite host to upload to).
If you have a suggestion, I still have space for 1 more host as long as it supports 400MB files and remote uploading.

Technically, it's a piece of cake for me to do that and I thought about doing it before.
The only problem is that I don't know how far I should take it since bringing down the size even more than it already is will automatically make the quality of the video look too horrible for me to watch which made me give up the idea last time.

If you give me some guidelines for what you're searching for quality wise and what would start to be unacceptable:
-What video resolution would be too small
-How blurry is too blurry(when you can't detect skin detail anymore, clothes detail, or something else)
-Other stuff that won't come to mind right now but you might think of
Then I'll give it a try.

That was a very kind response you gave me there, SamKook... about five posts ago. I appreciated it.

I didn't check all of the possibilities on the source page I provided for my 1.32 GB download of ANND-053... but I could see almost all of have gone bye-bye for public use, and I assumed none of the links were alive anymore. (Wupload, Filesonic, Fileserve, Uploadstation... sigh! Those were the days. And, boy, do I miss poor Megaupload.) I just wanted you to see how the short-by-ten-minutes offering was curiously the exact same file size as your complete version.

And you are right, it is very frustrating to find alternatives for free downloading. I came across a recent exchange where someone raved about how zippy Zippyshare (which I've never sampled) is, and you responded that has some truth - but not always, and that they restrict the size to 200 MB.

The two that offer good sizes and speed are Depositfiles and Uploading (not to be confused with the more popular service, Uploaded, a poor alternative). Once in a while, the speed can be off for both, however; I'm working on a Hotfile download at present, and I'm stunned to see their usual "clockwork" downloading speed is around half; I hope this is only a temporary problem. Another filehost that offers pot luck on speed is Bitshare, a most capricious service. (Note how Member isurf has given a big thumb's up to Bitshare in an above post... it looks like he has been having better luck with them.)

I think I have noticed somewhat recent posts of yours where you have utilized Netload. They were fantastic pre-2012, but now their free service, as far as speed, is catastrophic, and simply unusable.

Only a few months ago Filerose was a sponsor of Akiba-Online, as Ryushare is now. Filerose was refreshingly good, as far as speed. Now? Looks like they are out of business already.

Let's see now, Albert Schweitzer... ahhh... Mother Teresa... ah, yes, I think we may safely add SamKook to that short list of selfless ones. That was exceptional of you to consider knocking these giant-sized files to size (or at least in this one case of ANND-053). I have programs such as "Hamster Free Video Converter" and "Any Video Converter," and it's not too difficult to do file re-conversions... but the results can be so imperfect (suddenly the video would become off-sync, for example) that I now pause before attempting it. Yet you appear to have mastered the technical requirements, which comes with your territory.

And you are absolutely right, it's far more pleasurable to watch a giant file. But sometimes this is not a hard-and-fast rule, either. I have downloaded real giganto ones, only to come across surprisingly mediocre quality. (The expertise of the people who prepare these things can surely be a factor.)

Yet it's a trade-off, in my case, between downloading time, frustration with multi-links and hard drive storage, vs. the often better-looking over-one-gigabyte files. I don't feel the smaller files are unacceptably bad, however. (Perhaps those who have theater-sized HD screens have gotten accustomed to the luxury of seeing every skin pore.) I'm very happy with 400 to 600 MB sized .FLV, .RMVB or .MKV files.

Only in the rare cases where a film is fantastic, where you know you're going to keep coming back, have I sometimes hunted down the larger files.

Here's the complete version of ANND-053 reposted in the ANND thread.

Uploading was not an acceptable choice since it only has 10GB of storage space and no remote upload for free users. I keep forgetting why I never use my account there even though I liked it.
So I decided to give depositfiles a try. The only downside so far if that remote uploading is a bit slow since there's a queue, but it shouldn't be much of a problem.

I'll try to make a smaller version when I have the time for it(should be soon) and I'll post a sample to get peoples opinion on if it's acceptable quality wise or not.

Wow. I think I did a "Linda Blair" with my neck when I noticed how absurdly fast SamKook put up his repost of ANND053. (Luckily having the presence of mind to keep my mouth closed, so no pea soup sprayed the walls.)

Thank you immensely, SamKool (as I prefer to call you), for your selflessness and mastery. Thank you also for considering the friendlier-to-free-downloaders services, Uploading and Depositfiles (Ohh... okay, I see the shortcoming of Uploading. Too bad.) I noticed as well that you allowed for Netload to join the crowd, which instinctively made me hold up a cross.

EDIT: Not incidentally, Freakshare has been cooperative with its free downloads, the few times I've tried.

I am taking comfort in your inclination to put up a smaller file of the same movie fairly soon, so I'll hold off on my download. Also, because I hate to have reminders of my threatened masculinity (Every time I start a download for 1.2 GB or higher, I break down and have a good cry. Makes me feel so... wimpy.) I don't always follow these threads, so I hope I will catch it. Perhaps you will be kind enough to put up word on Slimedog, as you did now.

Everyone else: I think ANND053 is a great film, and everything else I've seen regarding its pilfered availability has had the ending cut off by ten minutes. If you own this fine movie, maybe you ought to check it and see whether you've got the whole two hours. If not, and for those of you who haven't yet had the chance to check the JAV out, SamKook's valuable contribution truly comes as a rare and golden opportunity.
