A Tokyo High Court judge has been reprimanded after posting a photo of a man’s naked upper body on his Twitter account.
Kiichi Okaguchi, 50, who presides over civil cases at the high court, has been disciplined for three tweets uploaded between April 2014 and last March, including a picture of a man whose naked upper body is bound with ropes.
It’s not clear if the pictures are of the judge himself. He also tweeted, “I will keep posting images of my naked body and of me wearing just white briefs.”
Saburo Tokura, director of the Tokyo High Court, verbally reprimanded Okaguchi on June 21 for “lowering the dignity of judges,” the court said Monday.
“It is regrettable that an active judge has carried out an act that hurts public trust (in the judiciary),” said Yuji Watanabe, secretary-general of the court.
Okaguchi, who still features photos of himself wearing just briefs on his Twitter page, (twitter.com/okaguchik?lang=ja), has apologized for “causing enormous nuisance to the people.”
In the judges defense he really is in good physical condition for a man of 50.
