Trouble with rar files

For some reason, when I download a video composed of more than two .rar files I'm unable at the end to merge them together. (I use The Unarchiver). I always get an error message saying "the archive file is incomplete." This only happens to me with .rar files downloaded from this site. Any thoughts?

Are you sure it's rar files and not a binary split or something else like that?

Rar files uploaded here are no different than from anywhere else so either you're using a really old version of your software that doesn't support newer rar features or you're not dealing with rar files.

If it ends with .001, .002, etc., then it's usually a binary split and you can either use a command to join them or some software. You can check the pinned thread "How to join video files." in this section for suggestions of software to use, not too sure what's available on mac.

If you can't figure it out, tell us exactly what the filenames of what you're trying to open/merge are so we don't have to guess what the issue is.

Thanks for the response. I'm definitely talking about rar files. For some reason, when a video posted on akiba-online is broken into three or more rar files, I get an error message when I try to merge them (with The Unarchiver). If the movie is broken into just two rar files, I don't have a problem. This only happens to me on this website!

Weird but good that your issue is fixed now.

Just out of curiosity, were the rar files in the old style(.r00, .r01) or the new style(part01.rar, part02.rar)?
