What Is it About JAV?

I first discovered this genre years ago on the web when I found a clip of Rei Himekawa doing a masturbation scene from "I'll Let You Be My Pet"(pretty sure that's the title- in it, the guy is on the floor jerking off). I realized right away this was so unlike most Western scenes where the women generally delicately rubbed themselves and emitted a few fake groans. This was raw, and she was really into it. From that time on, I have been hooked on JAV and periodically try to analyze why. There have probably been discussions like this before, but it would be interesting to hear some ideas from other members. Is it because many of the women have real bodies instead of surgically enhanced figures like their Western counterparts? Or, they have an innate sexuality that Western stars do not possess? What is it- is it even definable? I'm sure each has his own idea of JAVs appeal. I might be fun to explore this.

Your name says it all! The boob is different Apart from boob (whether real/natural or surgical) I think there are many factors that constitute the difference. Some of the factors I can think of are like how much open/tolerant toward sex, sense of embarrassment on being nude, etc etc.

See for example, an ordinal JAV starts with an actress fully dressed. The actor and actress start off with conversation, and go to foreplay still fully dressed. Eventually they take off their clothes one by one and get down to business in the end. You can see that the actress shows some sense of embarrassment to be naked in front of camera. Remember throughout the scene the genital parts are censored.
On the other hand, American/Western porn start right from the intercourse without foreplay nor kissing, both of them already naked. Just they go bang and groan and come off. I have never seen the actors/actress show any sign of embarrassment. There is no censor so we can see what is there and what is happening (silly writing).

After I wrote this up I come to realise that the difference comes from the in/direct approach to the men's desire. JAV is more like indirect toward the desire while the Western porn is more like direct and hitting men's spine straight. Westerns openly show the BIG boobs and the sexual parts and it is like THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT.

To me cause like stated before jav actors are still more closed in sexual sense embarrass easily due to this thus more authentic emotion is shown. Yes, part of the reason is because the females are all cute.
More significantly, It is because JAV directors continue to get away with themes and content for which U.S. pr0n directors would be arrested (or at the very least, hassled).

At least for my taste, the girls are generally more naturally good looking. The Japanese "cute" is more of my thing, and more subtle, as opposed to the Western "sexy" that is shoved in your face. You can argue about how the girls are better looking (which I do think), but that really just comes down to taste.
