Sword of the stranger, Jin-Roh, Vampire hunter D, Steamboy, ....
They are all great for entertainment.
Or if you are looking for some other kind then I`d recommend Cencoroll,Origin - Spirits of the past, The sky crawlers or Tekkon Kinkreet.

It really depends on what you like. I like a good movie, whether it is a family movie or adult. Fuck it, entertainment is entertainment.

redrooster turned me on to "Spirited Away", it is a family movie but it is excellent. Unfortunately it is licensed by Walt Disney for international distrubution, (they know how to make a buck on family films), and can not be shared here. There are places where you can find it though, such as TPB, Bitsnoop and other torrent sites.

I am really still a newbie in this category and am still investigating anime movies and series myself but I can't help recommending something I thought was very well done. Thanks to all for their input to this thread.

"Akira" may also be an option, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akira_(film)), I haven't seen it yet but I hear it is very good. It is a 1988 film and although shown in the USA it is not licensed by any company on the "Do Not Upload" list and is completely Japanese owned. It could be uploaded here as far as I know.

"Princess Mononoke" is also on my short list but like Spirited Away it can not be shared here because of licensing.

"Ninja Scroll" is a movie that has been reccomended to me from elsewhere and I would upload it if I didnt believe there would be licensing problems. However Manga Entertainment is not on the "Do Not Upload" list so I am unsure.

"Perfect Blue" was great, I really enjoyed it, (http://www.akiba-online.com/forum/showthread.php?t=185083), it is available in the Direct download sections:

http://www.akiba-online.com/forum/showthread.php?t=737186
(and I guess I can find a seeded torrent to share in the torrent section)
I watched all the Satoshi Kon anime I could get my hands on and enjoyed it all.

All Hayao Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli films are worth watching. The beauty and quality of the animation and storytelling surpasses anything by Disney. For years they were never fully distributed outside of Japan, although there were dubs made, they were very rarely shown. Disney probably licensed those films out of jealousy.
My favourite has always been Laputa: Castle in the Sky. An amazing film. Although I recommend the original Japanese language with subtitles, and NOT the Disney "Van-Der-Beek" dub.
Akira is an all time Worldwide classic, this was the film that kickstarted the anime craze in the USA and UK.
Fist of the North Star, another all time classic.
Akira and Fist of the North Star are both very violent films though.
Maybe investigate the Studio Ghibli films first.

Apple Seed (both of them) is a Great movie.
If you liked the Lupin/Conan Movie I'd recommend Lupin the Third and Detective Conan Not movies but they are great animes. I'm pretty sure there is at least one Lupin Movie and Several Conan Movies out there as well.

There are quite a few, i would start with the Dissapearnce of Haruhi Suzumiya, one of the best movies all around in a while, for artistic content, the Millenium Actress is a fine one as well.

Hi guys, what can you recommend a movie for me to watch with the following criteria: well drawn characters (like ninja scroll), with sex, no oversize boobs, no exaggerated superpower. any story will do but i tend to back-off if the animation quality is poor or is poorly drawn.
Thankies :D

I like the movie Kite. Originally it was a two episode OVA that was combined to be a single movie. There is the version with sex which is 60 minutes and the version without sex which is 45 minutes,so if you run to the store and get it be sure and read the product description. I think it is well drawn. There are no over sized boobs, and no exaggerated super power.

If you end up liking that movie there is Mezzo Forte.Just like Kite there is a few different versions with and without sex so you have to read the product description about which version you are getting.

Unfortunately I do not think there is many regular anime movies with sex in them. The closest thing I can think of would hentai. Green bunny and Pink Pineapple company have some pretty good ones that have a story, decent animation and sex. Most of them are OVAs.
