Nanpa = pickup. As in picking up amateurs off the street for sex.

Just to add, nanpa isn't just something that exists within JAV. It's basically Japan's equivalent to PUA's. There are whole blogs devoted to effective tactics to picking up girls off the street/clubs/bars, just as there are in the west.
