OK, I caught up to the Fanza stuff. Huh, I surprisingly did manage to find 10 titles I liked. Reducing size and quality of screencaps so as not to slow the page loading down by too much.
#1 HNVR-152 - Kasui Jun
Its good to have our porcelain skinned beauty back. But I see Honnaka haven't been taking good care of her from the scars on her knees. C'mon, I know that's part of the job but don't work our girl like that. But we finally got to hear her say 'naka ni dashite' cos its Honnaka so that's nice. If Japanese ghosts are these sexy and playful, I'm totally going shopping for a "jiko bukken" in Japan.
#2 IPVR-296 - Sasaki Saki
She's almost always in seifuku in her titles these days. Suits me just fine, she's hot as hell in one. So hot that I don't even care this is a imouto themed title. If Saki is my younger sister than I'm so going to hell and it'll be totally worth it. She has 2 titles so far this quarter and I like this one a bit more than the other.
#3 KAVR-401 - Itou Mayuki
Of course this was going to be on the list, this is one smoking title despite its theme of being 'silent'. Mayuki is statuesque perfection, as always.
#4 MDVR-342 - Yagi Nana
We've been waiting for a decent VR from her for a while and we finally got one. Ishikawa Mio did a similar reincarnation themed one last year but it wasn't so good. Nana did it better, thank goodness. Its ranked this high just cos its Yagi Nana though. I have a thing for her since 2D JAV.
#5 KAVR-402 - Hinata Natsu, Itsuha
Its a tale as old as time in JAV but wil never happen in real life. You meet up with your childhood friends, get drunk together, and decide to sleep it off in a convenient love hotel. Of course, no one actually gets much sleep. This is surprisingly fun to watch cos of their playful interaction. There's barely any lesbian action going on here despite the kiss depicted on the cover, but they genuinely seem to be having fun together even if Natsu initially sulks when Itsuha pushes her off your dick. Of all the 3P videos that came out so far this year, this is the one I like best even though it has no big names in it. This is one cute pairing for a 3P.
#6 HNVR-139 - Mitani Akari
Her first VR of the year, and here's hoping there will be more cos I think she might be retiring soon. Shame, cos she's a sex goddess and one helluva performer. However, I suspect this title might not make some of your lists cos of the complete absence of F2F missionary.
#7 IPVR-292 Sakura Momo
Wish this was longer. The outfits were really sexy and its Momo doing her usual thing.
#8 MDVR-332 - Ono Rikka
Her first decent 8k title, but somehow its not as good as her 4K ones. Not sure why, maybe the 8k gives too much detail or maybe industry wore her down or something. Does look like there's a touch of plastic surgery on her face, not sure why she needs it. And I really prefer her with black hair instead of this brown dye. Regardless, she's still prettier than most JAV girls out and she still has that body that I liked since 2D.
#9 MDVR-341 Arata Arina
Another one who's here cos I have been quite fond of the actress since 2D. Quite a few complaints about this VR. 2 scenes that are just blowjob only, and I don't really like bunny costumes so that rules out 1 of the scenes. But that last scene makes up for all of it.
IPVR-308 - Sasaki Saki
Her other video, cos its Sasaki Saki. Saki is my muse this year.
Disappointments:
Surprisingly quite a lot, but its mostly Moodyz related. The poor camerawork in MDVR-334 with Aoi Ibuki. Ishikawa Mio keeping her clothes on for way too long in MDVR-336 even though they're not at least semi-transparent. And MDVR-338 which I bought just to encourage Moodyz to make more VRs with Miyashita Rena but is otherwise also not that well made.
But if I have to pick between them, it will be MDVR-336. You can sort of fix the camerawork a bit in MDVR-338. Rena's beauty still kinda makes her watcheable in MDVR-338. However, its not like you can pull Mio's bra back down. She actually slid it down earlier, why did she let it slide back up and leave it there? Its 4 disappointing 8k titles in a row now with Mio. Moodyz is really wasting one of their best girls.
The Surprise:
See KAVR-402 at #5. Actually knocked SIVR-390 with Mita Marin and Asano Kokoro off the list.
Best Actress of the quarter:
Sasaki Saki, of course. Did you even have to ask?
Best New Actress:
Nomiya An (MDVR-333). She's quite cute, and breasts like that always get my attention.
Wishes for the rest of the year:
- Get your act together, Moodyz. And make another VR with that cutie Kira Kira. Take her to a dentist to whiten her teeth a bit first though.
- Another Shirakami Emika VR.
- More Miyajima Mei pls. And not the usual weird or creepy SOD VR ones.
- Aisai Ria and Shirokumo Ame from IdeaPocket to start on VR and give Sasaki Saki some competition.
