You can use JDownloader 2, i just tried it and got around 6MB/sec. The browser plug-in Video DownloadHelper also works. In both cases you end up with a mp4 file.

Personally i dont like having alot of plugins, atm i just use "Adblock Plus", "Flagfox" and "NoScript". 1 plugin i found useful when i wanna dl stuff is "SkipScreen", it can bypass the waiting time for various sites.

It only shows the first file, because that's the only one it needs, the rest of the files are grab'd automaticly.

Im dual booting 32bit Microsoft Vista Home premium SP2 and 32bit Ubuntu 9.10.

You have to press the "play" icon in order to start the dling. Another way is highlighting the links, rightclick and choose "continue".

There is no way around that, you pretty much have to buy premium if you want good speed and the ability to dl several files at a time. You can however make dling a little easier by using a dl-manager such as Jdownloader. If you got any close friends then you want wanna share a premium...

1 possible solution is to go into the control panel, open "folder settings", switch to "show" find the "Hide filetypenames for known filetypes" option, make sure that option is turned off. If that is option is turned on then windows will see .avi.001 files as mere .avi files.

That post is torrent related, you need a torrent client like utorrent to dl it. There are other clients but that one is very good. The site has info on how to install and setup the client.
