Mao Wei returns from the Yenwon Reformatory Division, to find his former love, Annie, well on the way to marrying another man. He prevents the marriage and works his way back into her heart. Soon after, they marry. Still a virgin, Annie is looking to finally make love to her husband. Unfortunately, flashbacks to his brutal treatment in prison, prevents him from being able to fulfill their mutual wish. Feeling inadequate and depressed, he leaves Annie, wishing for her to find another man. She eventually does, but still longs for Mao Wei. After becoming pregnant by the other man, she finds Mao Wei and begs him to return and become the father to the baby.
