504 Gateway Time-out at peak hours

Is it just me?
Always facing this problem "504 Gateway Time-out " recently at peak hours (mainly pm 9:00~am 01:00 GMT+9 time zone).
Forum is very lagggggy!
Please try to solve it.
Maybe disable autoposters or attachments.
 
It's not just you, it took me 3 min. and 4 page refreshes to view this topic.

The site was moving quite well after the last downtime, but it's starting to slow down again.
 
IIRC I believe chompy said it usually occurs when the Japanese hammer the site!
 
Same problem here, I've just always assumed it's the time of day when the server load
is pretty intense.
 
There's a direct correlation between the "Online Users" value you see on the main page and how responsive the site is. Our dual-Xeon E5410 server just can't handle the CPU load during peak hours (evening time in Japan.) Still... count your blessings. The fact that we can even post when there are 5,000 online users is thanks to a huge bevy of performance tweaks added in the past year.

Apparently our datacenter is going to start offering somewhat more powerful CPU options (dual Opteron 6128) for their high-end servers. If they do, I'm sure we'll upgrade ASAP.
