Very enjoyable concept, though one adaptation I watched recently outside the URE series just ended up being too short.

Just for OP's clarification:
  • Hentai 変態 : source of the use of the letter 'H' to signify all things sexual, hentai is the English term for adult anime and manga. I emphasize that this is the English term because it's rarely used that way in Japanese. They say "adult anime" for the genre; [hentai] in its native context usually means 'pervert'.
  • Manga 漫画 : Japanese visual storytelling/art in print. Unlike Western comics, which were traditionally funny newspaper strips or hero-themed paperbacks, Japanese manga has for a long time been a way to tell any story the artist wants to. If you say, "I like manga," it's like saying, "I like television." It's a medium of publication more than it's a genre.
  • Doujin (or Doujinshi) 同人/同人誌 : Self-published work. In the context of manga, Doujinshi are the self-published comics sold often at big conventions like Comic Market / コミケ. Though mostly amateur, you occasionally see well-known artists putting out a doujinshi of material when they can't be bothered to find a real publisher for it. Most doujinshi are erotic, and many take characters from known works and place them in erotic (or homoerotic) contexts. Doujinshi aren't usually very long, and this has given rise to their nickname "Thin Books" (薄い本).
    • The third character [shi] in 同人誌 is short for 'magazine'; [doujin] just means 'self-published'. Lately there has been a rise in "Doujin AV" (同人AV) on sites like FC2, usually where a dude hires an actress directly and films his own action to sell.

Thanks for clarification. Therefore, the URE series or "original collaborations" with MIMK or others are correctly said to be based on Hentai?

That statement is not wrong, but misses the mark. Hentai in the English sense also includes anime and games, and most of the works in those series aren't based on anime or games.

"Based on hentai comics" or "Based on adult manga" would be more accurate; especially since most anime, erotic or otherwise, were manga first.

There have been JAV based on adult anime and games, though doujinshi collaborations are now much more frequent.

Ogenki Clinic (...though this was an erotic manga before it was an anime)
