Gives the term "Mutant Ninjas" new life. Not a bad story actually, it has "Romeo & Juliet" overtones but plenty of interesting and imaginative fight scenes. It is not without fanservice but that seems mostly incidental to the story, there is more gore than nudity. The pace of this story is uneven but I found that actually worked in the stories favor, adding suspense and climaxes. Another nice trick in this story is the way the story builds momentum, which because of the pacing of the story becomes almost a surprise. The animation was good, as can be expected from studio GONZO. All in all a pretty decent anime.
