I will have a 2 day visit in Tokyo in the middle of september and I'm looking forward to purchasing some various Model Figures in Akihabara. Since purchasing these stuffs in Thailand almost cost double. So I think that this will be my prime time to expand the size of my collection.

Could anyone please suggest the best stores which offer various model figures in a reasonable price??

I heard that there are also some "Fake Replica model figure" in Japan. How to check if the ones I'm purchasing is real or fake??

Also I'm thinking of buying an IPOD Touch, could anyone tells me which stores give the best offer? Is "Pocket plus ONE" Okay? or any suggestions??

THANK YOU in ADVANCE!

If you want to buy electronics (iPod touch, there are also lots of unique Japanese mp3/video players), head to Akihabara and go to Sofmap. The main store is next to the huge SEGA megastore. It's not the cheapest place, but half the staff speak english, and you can get duty-free there. Plus it's a reputable store so you won't get fleeced.

Of course if you feel like comparison-shopping, you should also check out Yodabashi nearby, or just walk around Akiba.

Huoliuhi: no real reason to bump something that's still on the main page... unless you have an egotistical reason to up your post-count ;)

I might also suggest checking out M's Lifestyle Shop.
