Buying content from FC2

Hi

I wasn't sure where to post this on the forum, so if this is the incorrect place, please let me know.

So I've purchased content from FC2 website before and haven't had any issues.

Recently I've noticed some accounts that I've purchased from before display this message when I click on their profile:



For example I've been trying to buy content from this account : https://adult.contents.fc2.com/users/ntrpapa/

For context, this profile has content from the JAV Actress Aki Kawana (Sanjo Aki).

However when i click on the profile, I get that image above. And strange thing is, months ago I've bought content from this account before. And even when I browse through the site, I can see the notification and links for the new videos from these accounts, but I get that image above whenever I click on them.

And this is just one example, there are some other accounts that have the same issue.

I guess my questions are:

1) Do I need to use a VPN when Purchasing from FC2?

2) Has anyone else this issue before? Any workarounds?

From my experience with the Japanese Amazon writing that a page does not exist when it actually does but it's just that you're accessing it without signing up, as well as from my experience with the DMM site, I would try using a Japanese VPN, but it might just be that the creator has deleted their channel. But if that's the case, it's strange that there are still notifications from them. And I would expect that you're still able to access the content you bought. Otherwise it's just s...itty customer service (but that's not a surprise for me now, with the fall of R18 and the overall Japanese adult platform experience I've had so far)

So, my two answers are:
1. Might try to use the best Japanese VPN possible (also, change your system time to the Tokyo time etc. to make sure that the anti-whatever system doesn't pick up on any clues that you're not actually from Japan; maybe even change the system language to Japanese if you can — that would be super-lame of them to discriminate on being able to speak Japanese, i.e. that would mean that they don't want to sell their content to anyone who is not Japanese, but hey, Japan, as maybe every other country, has a history of xenophobia)
2. I've encountered similar situations on several Japanese sites, and with DMM I've just had it: I used Japanese VPN to be even able to buy stuff, and I bought it, but for viewing what you've bought, they seem to be using a more sophisticated system, so at that point, they've actually understood that I'm using VPN, so I couldn't watch what I bought. So I turned to pirates and bought the same video cheaper and without DRM

They literally made me do it with their s...itty customer service. I'm repeating myself, but that's just to highlight how fed up I am with that attitude of theirs. Now I go out of my way to not pay these jerks and pay pirates to contribute to the downfall of that we-don't-want-you-around-here xenophobic system. Bitter but I feel that I'm in the right here. This discrimination should not exist: either Japan follows the nature of capitalism and democracy all the way, or they admit that they would still rather isolate themselves. You can't have it both ways. Well, you can, but then be ready that there will be a lot of those who find this inconsistent and hypocritical and worth taking action against

I'm fed up with DRM and needing online connection to access what I buy, be it Western games or Japanese porn. I bought it, so either give me the file as it is for local access whenever the hell I want (irrespective of the site going down or the maker not wanting for it to be publicly accessible anymore). I paid for it, all right? I've completed my part. If we will be taking away stuff without returning the payment, then what the f...ed up "free world" is it? Is it Japan, overseen by the big American brother (don't pretend that you that Japan has the highest number of US military bases out of all the countries in the world on their territory), not Somalia or something. It's not China. With China, I understand perfectly that they would isolate themselves with the great firewall 'cause they want to do their own thing, but Japan... man, you either be with the cool kids or you don't. Yes, you can samurai it up all you want, but you have to decide on your core values: you either go with the Western thing in terms of economy, digital systems, etc. or you remain in the last century with your floppies and your wooden stamps for documents. It's all very fancy when you first see it in a tour guide, but it's really annoying when you actually need to work with the Japanese financial institutions, pay for Japanese stuff and actually sign contracts

Going back to the DRM thing, I think if enough people just say "f...k it, I'm out" and stop supporting the way things are by still paying for it, we will be able to have something better. Otherwise, the jerks would think it's OK. "We've got our money, right? Even after all these a...hole decisions. So nothing needs to be changed." Man, the nerve of those pricks... Okay, I'm done, for now

What you described does seem quite bothersome..wish drm never became a thing but here we are now lol


1. What Japanese vpn do you recommend?

2. Fortunately, I was able to find some of the content on duga.jp...maybe a fake reseller on fc2? Not really sure.

1. I cannot recommend any of them since the ones I used were detected by the DMM's DRM system
I guess you will need to find something not that well-known, or make your own VPN server/tunnel so that it's not on the list of known ones — and you will need to try and bypass all the other security measures they might be using like checking your location, system language/locale, time zone etc. A real pain in the ass, obviously; same as DRM in games, this is one of the biggest arguments I see now to go back to pirating stuff as much as possible to show them that this is not user-friendly at all
2. You mean someone on FC2 resells stuff from Duga without DRM? I have personally found proof that at least some of the stuff is published on both

P.S. Okay, since I like Kawana Aki a lot, I searched a little, and this site didn't disappoint: it seems that the same stuff can be found on Duga as well. So, I would recommend finding some way to download it from the site to bypass the DRM and save it on your computer as a "raw" video stream without protection (I haven't used any of these, but I've heard a lot about streamfab, so that's where you could start, like googling "streamfab" and "duga" together)

Also, just a note to self: there are 73 videos just with her that I didn't even know about, and that's just one channel. How many videos have I missed because I relied only on the wester databases like JAV Library? Even JAV Trailers have a lot more entries, e.g. this one I found just now, with Reira, cause I though the PAPA label is somehow related to that maker

Oh, and I will not be surprised if that NTR Papa is somehow related to asfur: the colors, the fonts and even the clothes seem to be too similar (e.g. in this video, the clothes Aki has on are suspiciously similar to those another actress has in one of asfur movies; also, this might be just her own clothes, but the dotted top she has in this one seems to be the same as in this one)

Oh, or maybe, just maybe, that "netorarepapa" only has videos with her because it's her husband who, as I remember from somewhere, has a thing for watching his wife being f...ed? Then it all comes together: he asked the asfur guys to use the same actors and props to have more content, and maybe he paid them in advance or they're splitting the money somehow. That would explain everything

And finally, the reason that he deleted the whole channel off the FC2 (or at least a lot of the new stuff or something, I haven't checked) could be because the latest one from there (and not from Duga) has been uploaded to streaming sites

Still, I see this as an example of a completely unfriendly, even authoritarian/dictatorship model: you have to pay for the access, the content does not belong to you forever to watch when and where you would like to, and the creator can delete the content and cut off all the access whenever they want. F...k that
