Well, Ken89, you might have noticed that Qwerty07 put it this way:

"I believe the only service that allowed multiple downloads at once."

That's in the past tense; you may want to test and see whether simultaneous downloads are permitted by Ryushare, but I'd say that would be a shocker. As a free user, I checked whether Ryushare's claim of higher speeds was true, once one signed up for a free account (Uploaded also makes the claim, and I see a little difference with them), but I still get the less than 60kb/s speed regardless ... with my less-than-stellar Internet speed. I think that stinks, especially if you have a big download to deal with. In fairness, as opposed to the pre-Megaupload "golden age," almost all filehosters now offer rotten speeds, in order to encourage premium sign-ups. Hotfile, and (erratically) Depositfiles and sometimes Bitshare are rare exceptions.

If you have a multi-part download, and you want to get the darned thing over with so you can move on to the next life requirement, an hour's wait between downloads is nothing to cheer about. But to each his own.

A tip to those who similarly cringe at the slow speeds. Try to piggyback your downloads of similar size. Sometimes you can get different filehosters to cooperate, enabling you to make use of your maximum Internet speed. (Other times this trick backfires, as one filehoster overpowers the other until the second one gives up.)

EDIT: After reading Qwerty07's corroborating post below, I had to confirm... I am in shock, it's true. (Even in the good old days, it was very rare for a filehoster to allow for simultaneous free downloads.) This is good news for free users, as you can perform the piggyback trick for multiple-link Ryushare downloads.

EDIT AGAIN: The piggyback trick does not work for two simultaneous Ryushare downloads, because the speed Ryushare allots becomes split into two, preventing the full usage of Internet speed. To gain the piggyback advantage, one needs to download simultaneously from different filehosters, hoping that they will cooperate, and one will not obliterate the other.

I bet these pornstars are living life better than the rest of us and the world. must be making a lot of money

No doubt there are those on top of the heap who are earning substantially, but that's true of any profession. Yet from what I gather, the life of an adult actress is not an easy one. Not long ago I read a heartbreaking article (I think it was in the News section of Akiba-Online -- EDIT: It was here) of what the average JAV actress goes through; they have to work all of the time, and burn-out comes quickly.

And from what I've read about American porn actresses, their lot isn't easy, either - generally speaking. The newcomer who is appealing and sought after rises high for a while, but once they become old news, they need to put out in more trying ways, the anals and DPs and whatnot. There's a lot of competition, and the time when the phone doesn't ring as often probably comes sooner than later for most. Then there is the STD transmission danger. It does not strike me as an easy and glamorous life, nor even a necessarily lucrative one, for the average performers.

I'd still like to know why I am unable to join for a premium membership, it obviously does no good to inquire with ryushare about it. I mean its not as if I have never been able to use the premium service before because I have.

I know and have known many adult actresses in LA and other cities. I'd have to agree that presently only the ones at the top who have contacts with the big companies have done well financially. These days, with the recession, however, there are not many contacts given. Most of the actresses I know, some are well known names who have done AMWF videos, do scenes at 1000 to 1500 scene, but can't as many scenes that they used to get or want and are always hustling to make ends meet. While an actress make a good living with that income, many are uneducated and have poor values and do not know how to manage their money and are unlikely to save any of it. Think of an 18 year old girl who has dropped out of high school, has no skills and can't even keep a job at McDonalds because poor work habits, like now showing up for work, then comes to LA, makes 1500 to have sex which seems like easy work and then blows that money on parties, drugs, etc. Many have bad relationships and end up giving it to their partners and many come from horribly abusive family backgrounds, so psychologically they are pretty fucked up before then enter the business. Sounds like a stereotype, but in my experience, many of the facts that make up the stereotype are true for a majority of cases. Jenna Jameson is a case in point (I don't know her). She has been in the business and has ridden it to the top (and she is an exception, not many of the girls last that long) where she is a very recognizable name even to people who do not watch porn. It has been documented that she has been in and out of rehab and recently go arrested at a party for fighting. Now think of how an average porn star is doing. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the life of a porn star is definitely NOT glamorous.

^ You guys should make a different thread for this talk. It's annoying. I see updates to this thread and come and look and all it is, is people talking off topic stuff.

"You guys should make a different thread for this talk. It's annoying. I see updates to this thread and come and look and all it is, is people talking off topic stuff." - Qwerty07, backed up by Joker101 and Rexcase

The thread is called "Collection of JAV with white actresses (and a few black ones too)," and ideally all of the posts should involve juicy download possibilities regarding the promised interracial sex. I'm sure many would prefer to cut out any of the talk, including whether someone has a particular video, what is the name of an actress - anything. All we want is our porn.

But that's not the way a forum operates. There is no way to control what people are going to contribute. That is the reality, and one must accept it. i certainly do; there are many threads with posts I'm totally uninterested in, and what I do is forge forward until I find something up my alley.

If this is the situation, then there will always be times when someone needs help, or makes a claim that may not be true, as examples. That's going to invite others to want to help, or wish to set the record straight.

Frankly, I feel that makes things more interesting. (For example, Odd_duck's above enlightenment regarding the lives of porn actresses was wonderful, and I would think few porn-lovers would disagree.) Even if the participants talk about a matter I'm not particularly interested in - for example I see both Qwerty07 and Joker101 engaged in a discussion on this page regarding whether a PTKS034 download ran too short. How boring is that, for someone who has no interest in that movie? Perhaps these chatterboxes should take up their issues on another thread.

One might say at least that subject is related to the topic. Okay, then, what about when Ravduke84 brought up the Ryushare issue that is off-topic? I see the one who responded first was none other than Qwerty07.

The other member who agreed with the annoyance of talk was Rexcase, and he was justified; he only recently joined Akiba-Online and has zero posts to date. I guess he'll be keeping it that way, unless he makes movies available for download; otherwise he may run the risk of being a hypocrite.

Such a setting as a forum cannot be expected to be a pure utopia. I suggest those who run into the clutter of posts not involving downloads to move on, until they encounter an item of interest. Usually the talk pertaining to a subject that we have no interest in will wither away in a few posts, anyway. (Of course, if it goes on for pages and pages, transforming the theme of the thread, that would be a different matter. Yet how often does that happen?) In addition, let us not neglect the fact that just because we are not interested in a matter being discussed, that does not mean others will not find the information to be valuable.

If posts were restricted to just download links, this forum would be dead. Aside from the download I just posted, how many new ones have been posted in the past week. 1 or 2 maybe? Most post are by members who do not post, but request, some politely and some rudely, others to post. I intend to share more, but my purpose on this forum is to also benefit from sharing as well. So all you members who only request repeated because you can't find a clip...here's an idea: why don't you buy it and share. Give back to the group.
Otherwise...
