Got the digital download version from glayz, unfortunately the idiots there didn't know how to properly rip a DVD, so this video has been resized before doing any deinterlacing, but it is still mostly watchable.

Is glayz.tv the site you bought it from? If so, can you tell us a bit about how it works? For example is registering/paying possible for non-Japan-residents? Are the files drm-protected?

yes, about USD$10 for this including foreign transaction fee, apparently there's some sort of credit (purchase points) for each purchase which can be used for further purchase, not that i would buy more from them anyway...

yes, i live in the US
i know that DMM for example wouldn't allow foreign purchase, which i've attempted first before going to glayz

they are not DRM-protected as far as I can tell, but this is my first and possibly only purchase, so i don't know about others more popular ones
but then afaik there are tools to do deDRM? never actually tried that

BUT, as I have warned, they don't really know how to encode video from DVD properly, so I wouldn't recommend buying from them if u have other alternatives

(for more technical ppl, as u can see from the screencaps, the video is vertically resized from what i imagine original 480i to 450p, *without* proper deinterlacing first, so the result is pretty ugly)

I guess the original footage was bought by an American company and released in the US where they don't need to add the censoring.
But don't expect this to happen for many scenes.
