Being on sites like this I suppose I should feel guilty for the use of torrents and other downloading sites (if studios were getting a cut of the profits from buying memberships, that would be cool) but the adult industry caused this problem just by their sheer excess of product. I used to rent from stores, but unlike mainstream Hollywood films you can't count on that same film or vid being around after several years; they have to make room for volumes of new product. Some films released during the VHS days have never gotten a DVD release you can buy. So we turn to sites where we can get them by hook or by crook. If they wanted to correct this problem with downloading in the adult industry, make it possible for us to get any film any time, by DVD purchase or download.

Yeah I hear you; I visit here too, and other sites like this one. From a simple economic perspective, though, not everyone can download for free everything they like, and expect more of what they like to be continued to be made.

I don't like or care about M@nwin or W00dm@n stuff, for example, and don't care if they get downloaded into oblivion. I like eurobabes in scenes where the guy isn't some 'roided-out meathead doing gonzo shit to the girl, and mostly keeps his mouth shut. I also like good production values and for the performers to at least seem to be enjoying each other and the guy isn't treating the girl like some kind of toy or object to be tortured. I know that kind of stuff is popular on the downloading sites too (Dr3amstash, x-@rt and their newer copycats; they're all over the pr0n boards). But if everyone got for free the kind of pr0n that I want to see, it wouldn't be long before it stops being made.

I download stuff for free, sure; mostly euro stuff from the era that I like. A lot of it isn't available to buy any more, but some of it is, at sites like vid30b0x, so I get a subscription there, and a lot of the studios are slowly making their back catalog available online also. When I can afford it, I'll buy memberships at sites that I'd like to see continue to make the kind of stuff I like. They're mostly smaller sites, and I've chatted with a few of the guys that run them. One of them is throwing in the towel this year, because he gets a ton of traffic from the pr0n boards, but only 5% of it gets converted to subscriptions. And then that 5% goes and shares their passwords, or rips the whole site and posts it on a board.

All I'm saying is there needs to be balance. I think in the past few years it's swung way far in the direction of everything being ripped off and posted on the boards. A lot of the uploaders are from economically disadvantaged parts of the world, so I understand where they're coming from. But the filehosts and tube sites are taking too much of a shrinking pie. I think as fans and consumers in the developed world, it's in our own self interest to support the content producers where we can, even if it's only buying a trial membership here and there. The bigger studios can probably take the hit, but if one is a fan of stuff made by smaller, independent producers, it's something to keep in mind.

Porn is in transition, or had been in transition. The same is happening in video games. Did you guys know that tube sites OWN paid sites now? That sounds crazy but it's true. There is just too much porn to the point where porn is not valuable anymore. People are not willing to pay. The porn industry has developed other business models.


In video games, the Free-2-Play model is on the rise also because of OVERsaturation of video games. The market will always correct itself. No need to worry.:joker:

I very much doubt that the small, independent sites that I'm thinking of have any ownership stake in the tube sites. M@nwin, yes; I've read conjecture (and it's still only that -- speculation) that in addition to the big tubes, M@nwin even owns some major filehosters. This is all coming from webmasters of M@nwin's smaller competitors, so it needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

Like I said, I don't care what the major sites and studios put out these days; I don't follow it, I don't download it and I don't buy it. I agree with you it's all the same stuff we've seen over and over again. Until the industry as a whole moves to a better business model, I'll continue to support the smaller, niche producers where I can. If only because I want to see the stuff I like continue to get made.

I don't get the hype for this movie. What's the point? Just go watch Karina White on some tube site. The guy that she works with is terrible. Not even worth watching.


This dude is fucking some hot girls but he has by far the WORST series out of all of them.
