This fix is an "add-on" to the previous fix. You must also delete all cookies for dmm and block their cookies.

Blocking cookies with Firefox:
http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Blocking cookies

Blocking cookies in Chrone:
Options>Under the Hood>Content Settings>Cookies>Manage Exceptions>dmm.co.jp (block) + www.dmm.co.jp (block)

cant figure out how to get it to work on firefox with adblockplus

Go to dmm.co.jp.
Click the AdBlockPlus icon and hit "Open Blockable Items".
Right-click on any item and click "block this item"
Click on "custom" and enter "dmm.co.jp###welcome".
Ignore the warning that the filter will not affect the current item.

For all you lazy bums or internet illiterates out there, using Firefox...
Heres a step-to-step guide

1) Go to dmm.co.jp
Right click on browser
> View Page Info
> Permissions
> Set Cookies
Uncheck "Use Default" and click on "Block"

2) Go to adblockplus.org/en/
> Download the Addon for firefox (automatically installs)
> Restart Browser

3) Go to Add-ons menu (aka Add-ons Manager) on firefox
> Extensions
> Options (for Adblock plus)
> Filter preferences
> Custom Filters
> Add filter group (Create your filter group)
> Show/Hide filters (right click on created filter group or just press Ctrl+R)
> Add the following
dmm.co.jp/_js/jquery.js
dmm.co.jp/js/jquery.js

DMM should work NP now.

Thanks to dkmgogo for finding the js to disable :D

Good info this has restored access to Japanese version of the website.

But it seems that on some pages that clicking on the image thumb just hangs and will not bring up the larger screenshot sample. Other pages it works fine. What is causing this and there is setting to fix it? Using Firefox with Adblock fix.

Update: issue fixed with Stylish fix

Does anyone have a solution for IE? :nosebleed:

If not joking, there's not much in the way of add-ons and such for IE that would allow for this.

If for some reason you're stuck on IE (e.g. can't install software) you can try running FireFox Portable from a pendrive or something. The portable edition fully supports extensions.

Don't you have to pay import tax when you buy? Or does it just ship to your doorstep in once neat package

Hypemx7,

Thank you for walking me thru this as I try not to be lazy but am very Internet illiterate.
As soon as I got thru your instructions up popped DMM and arms up I told DMM "Fuck You!!". Thanks yet again.

I encountered this problem myself just a couple hours ago and have another fix for people who may be on mobile browsers, or if for some reason you don't want to use adblock/stylish.

An easy work around would be to use Google translate to navigate the website:

DMM

You can select another language, or press Original at the top bar to navigate in Japanese.

I'm on my mobile tablet, so I'm using the Google Translate workaround, but thank you for the desktop browser fix!

If you're using an Android device, there is Adblock Plus for Firefox mobile (assuming FF mobile will run on your hardware). If there's a place to input custom filters, as opposed to just subscribing to lists, it should do the trick.
