Hi

I downloaded some animes recently and the title of files all had
[ENG.SUBS] Yet not subtitle in video? I used media player classic and can't find any subtitles.

The files of videos = .avi or .ogm

Any idea why they put it there, or where I can find the subtitles?

Thanks

If it's a file with AVI container format, the subs must be hardcoded into the video, so they should appear immediatly. You don't need any particular software to read them, it's part of the video.
If it's a file with OGM (or MKV) container format, the subs can be "soft", which means they can be switched on and off. In this case it could be a software problem.

It could be also that there are no subtitles at all. There is no guarantee just because the file is tagged this way. I saw many "uncensored" files that are censored in reality.
Can you tell the location of the files, if possible ?
