Experiences with JAV Stars

I'm almost certain Hitomi was at CES in Las Vegas one year. Other stars were present however I vaguely remember her.

When I lived in Japan (2002-2007) Cocolo sat next to me at a Freshness Burger in Ueno, Tokyo. I was with someone and so was she, so I was not able to say anything to her. Another time, I was on a train with Megumi Haruka. My stop came before I could work up the courage to talk to her.

Seeing porn stars in public is a reminder that they have lives outside the industry.

I attended CES in the mid 90s for about 5(?) yrs. I don't miss the crowds. Meeting porn stars up close and personal is interesting.

If I am ever in Japan, would I be able to go to one of those fan events with photos and signing? I am hoping to go in a year and a half. It would be great if I could go to one while there, especially of a favorite star. I saw that Arina Hashimoto did one recently.

If JAV has similar business model as Western/US porn industry, it's possible. One could meet a starlet at a video store or strip club. JAV studios seem to keep tighter reins on talent than their US counterparts.

I should have been more specific.

The poll was an attempt to determine who has had a situation where a brief conversation happened with a JAV actress.

Meeting by chance is borderline. If chit-chat happened, it's all good. If chit-chat didn't happen, it's not a personal experience.

I used to see Mai Hagiwara (萩原舞) every week for a year or two. She brought her kid to the English school I was working at in Kyushu. She'd come down south after the big earthquake of 2011.
She was always friendly, and not too hung up on all the etiquette of Japanese society. I didn't know it was her until I was on here one day and randomly clicked on a thumbnail and thought "That face looks familiar". Had a name from the title, checked some more, and yeah, it was definitely her. She has very distinctive features. With a bit of make up on and some properly fitting clothes, she still looked good.
