This was the biggest downer of R18 going down. I did manage to buy some old items I'd long been curious about (SHK-022 anyone?) and some even lived up to my expectations!

The one that got away for me is RBD-110. Still kicking myself for deleting that download from years ago, even if it was one of the grainy old rips of the era.

An oldie goodie for everyone. Remember when Attackers used to have monthly wallpapers?

no...but holy hell you just gave me my favourite discovery on this thread. thank you. those wallpapers are amazeballs. I am obsessed with hi res images and really wished there was a resource for that. I collect av covers without words as well.

the boondocks saints one is my fav. she looked so fucking heroic...to know she gets raeped is a massive dopamine hit although the film isn't among the best imo.

For those interested, here are the wallpapers I salvaged. Not all are the highest-resolution (1152 x 864). Some are 1024 x 769 or even 800 x 600. I've named them with the titles they're from. There are 46 wallpapers and one instance of a film having two wallpapers (SHKD-193). Hopefully this doesn't cause any posting issues.

I saw that the web archive ran until 2011 so I searched around and found this. Had stuff that wouldn't load on the archive as well as wallpapers from other studios.20071125044637.jpg20081011175729.jpg20090112214015.jpg

Yeah, I realized it afterwards. It seems a little weird that the later wallpapers are less likely to be backed up by Archive.org
All 46 of the posted wallpapers were consecutive, but as you noted there are more gaps later.

Ah, that set of wallpapers reminds me how great SHKD-184 is. Shame there's no decent rip out there.

SSPD-060 looks mislabeled? Which code does that actually belong to? EDIT: Oh, just SSPD-006.

Many of those old SSPD films deserve better preservation than they got. Even the versions you can download from official sites were just bad VHS rips.

Definitely have a few on my R18 account that I wish were in better condition. I'm going to miss the ability to browse and purchase from those back catalogues. Of course, even if R18 was still around, a lot of those studios seem to have delisted a lot of older films now.

R18 is done for good, DMM blocks US IP addresses and accounts. Attackers themselves have spotty coverage that far back, so it is even hard to get any information. JavLibrary isn't complete and doesn't have the plot summaries that are on the sale sites.

I get that it is super weird to be fans of decades-old pornography, but I think Attackers did something interesting around 2000 and it kind of sucks that it is going to be mostly lost.

Ameri Ichinose's RBD-291 she plays a celebrity model and it starts off with a physical raep then continues with blackmail. She's just so fucking gorgeous. I can't remember if she cried in this one id have to rewatch it, but that reminds me of her world famous black tears gif from her gokkun flick that was all kinds of awesome. Poor Ameri thank you for your service.

For those that don't know the history, the D in Attackers film codes stands for DVD. So, for example (not sure if I am getting the era right), there is both an RB-040 and an RBD-040, with RB being the VHS version and RBD being the DVD version. People just kind of treat all of the old films as being the RBD, JBD, SHKD, SSPD even if there are technically only RB, JB, SHK, and SSP versions out there. SSPD also got written as DSP at one point, and RB as ARB in each case to make them filled out as normal three-letter codes.

Anything that is an actual D version exists in DVD form and should have way high quality than what looks like VHS rips. Anything that was VHS only will probably never have better than what we have. I guess that's the nature of porn habits though-- avid fans aren't lifelong fans, with interest and collections that come and go, leading to the DVDs being thrown out years ago or in the hands of people that just aren't that type of fan anymore.

EDIT: X Superheroine Rekt got taken down again. I might do a summary of one or two of their excellent series. Ginta is great, and his Saint Force series or his Spandexer series are good stuff. Like a bunch of Attackers series their coverage with subtitles has been pretty good.

The best coverage of old films of Attackers looks like here, at jav.land, searching by the label. They retroactively started calling the RB films ARB, which I guess would be the pre-RBD era.

SHKD doesn't really go back to the double digit era there, so even they lost a lot of history. It doesn't look like they even have pages for all of Kichiku Rinkan, but here is #1:

Getting better quality rips comes down something like "The Chinese will save us!"

If there is a higher quality rip that appears for something from the late 00s, more often than not it seems to have hard-coded Chinese subtitles. There is a new and growing market there that is big enough to pay for pirates to track down DVDs and rip them with modern encoding standards. This is why Attackers, in particular, seems to be getting more attention from re-rips of older movies and more subtitles. People care about the plot, so there is more attention on them by a huge market.

Looks like the ones that were missing were #102 (SHKD-459) and #116 (SHKD-601). I think the actress in SHKD-601 (Momoka Sakai) had all of her work removed. She does have at least one uncensored video with Catwalk Poison, I think.

SHKD-342, SSPD-115, and AVGL-102 all look like they're treated as part of the series, but are not numbered entries. SSPD-028 has the [KICHIKU RINKAN] stamp on the cover but isn't tagged as part of any series on the Attackers' site. Tonally, that one is a lot different and has more in common with the IENERGY bank robbery series, but with way more violence.

Speaking of, Rinkan actress photos from the old Attackers site:

@vancofan how do you find all this info, like which are are missing movies or which movies are in an anthology? its not on the attackers or other sites from what I see.

There used to be some posts here or maybe another forum like scanlover about buying a bunch of dvd/vcd's from actual stores in Japan and how they had a lot more variety. I wonder if theres a store you could go into in Akibahara etc and ask for the entire catalog of some studio, if you were willing to pay?

There are tons of movies listed on javlibrary that are impossible to find, even on Dmm/R18.

btw these are the old Attackers movies I have, downloaded from random places over the years. I wish I had more

In this case you can just look to count through 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc. I thought there were gaps but the search was just so out of order that I missed a few.

I don't think places in Akihabara would have VHS tapes now, and if there's some random DVD I wouldn't trust it to be something better than just what has been uploaded and burned to a DVD.

Any scenes where the girl is surrounded by a bunch of guys, and each of them takes turns kissing and groping her, while she is struggling and crying, before throwing her to the next guy? I'm sure there must be, right?

Just a spreadsheet. Rinkan was a staple for Attackers, so you'd rarely get more than a few title numbers between entries. So if you know there's a #103 (SHKD-462) and a #101 (SHKD-457), you can just check the intervening 4 titles.

JAV Library, when browsing by tag (actress, director, theme, maker, etc.), you need to remember to switch the Show: dropdown from 'videos with comments (by date) to everything (by date)

As for the Anthologies, the older Attackers Rinkan ones specifically show which titles are included. The later anthologies just list the actress names.

I'm not 100% sure about the 'complete set' anthologies either because I think they're a bit inconsistent whether they include the non-numbered entries, and I think they include some out-of-series videos too. The last anthology covers up to #101.

I think that's when the trouble started. My guess is that Japan passed some kind of right-to-be-forgotten law for JAV performers and the actresses (Haruka Ruri and Momoka Sakai) decided to exercise them (like how Ai Uehara would a few years later). Neither were prolific performers and those two entries are not shown in jav.land, but are in javlibrary.

Ruri Haruka SHKD-459
shkd459pl.jpg

Momoka Sakai SHKD-601
shkd601pl.jpg

For Ai Uehara, from what I can see from torrents, what they've done in compilations is left her scene in, but not tag her as a performer on the video and delist the cover if she's on it

Question for the fans of the oldies out there. IE-004 from IEnergy. Is this an Ai Nagase-only movie? Who are the other girls? They're naked and get groped and one of them gives a bj as well. It looks like the same premise as one of those "Call your friend so that she can also be attacked", except it's mostly just Ai?

saw it here - https://www.akiba-online.com/thread...-rough-sex-gang-bang-1-murakami-miwa.1770375/

but the file hosted is dead.

I dont know how to find these files if they are on any other file hosts? Maybe we can start an effort here for people to find/reupload these older classics? It'd be so great to have a full collection of old catalogs esp Attackers.
