One rather rare thing in JAV and Japan in general, are tops exposing the midriff. Japanese love the miniskirt but the midriff is somehow taboo?!? LoL It’s a reasonably popular fashion trend in my parts for the chick to have a top that doesn’t make it to the waistband of the bottoms. I even see it at the office now and again, and I’d venture to say it’s more popular with Asian chicks to show off the flat tummy. I’m not counting the workout tanks, which I like as well, but a proper too-short top is very yummy.

Almost anything that stays on in combination with "panty to the side" is the biggest one for me e.g. skirt, shorts, or other lingerie and nightwear.

Other key pieces of clothing I go for:

• sundress, super rare in porn
• romper, also super rare in porn
• garter belt + stocking. Pretty much anything from lingerina series (ランジェリーナ) where lingerie stays on at all times. Surprisingly massive series.
• corset
• nightgowns (スリップ) and other nightwear like certain pajamas and hoodies e.g. the fluffy, striped hoodies that are quite common in younger sister play.
• wedding dress
• maid dress / gothic lolita dress, pretty typical in JAV. Preferably not the cheap Halloween costume type.
• thigh/knee high socks + skirt/shorts (絶対領域)
• big round glasses
• sweater dress
• maxi dress, another that has a surprisingly long series
• blindfolds in context of cosplay e.g. 2B, sword maiden, rider
• even a simple button shirt (ワイシャツ/Yシャツ) is enough for me

I discovered FSDSS-006 recently and is probably one the biggest let downs for me. Super cute outfit, rubbing through the pant leg, but didn't even have sex in it. This would have been a key "to the side" moment for me.

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. I love some "panties to the side". Any good recommendations? Most of the series and IDs I know of are more panchira focused, like FGAN, MMUS etc.

I agree. But I think one reason why it isn't more common is that many (most?) JAV stars don't have flat tummies. Of course there are some that stand out like Umi but many others range from a tiny tummy to more of a belly, even if their overall build or limbs are on the slim side. Seems like most Japanese women rely more on natural genetics to stay in overall decent shape vs working out so usually don't have even slight ab definition. For those are do have it, it's a really appealing feature.
