Very thoughtful of you to include sample covers and art style. I knew of hentai from way back in the U-Jin era but never really got into it until recently, perhaps due to conversation with @vodanh1011 in the JAV thread on life action hentai.

And I have a couple requests:

Both these artists write some elaborate stories. E.g. my sample for Don Shigeru's Parasiter Miki, you have action (gun play), futa and quite excellent art work (if somewhat old school). But for some reason they are not all translated (scanlated). E.g. only one third of Parasiter Miki was translated. Being newbie, is there a better way to find scanlated manga?

Can anyone suggest manga artists who write these similar stories where the sex (lots of it!) is entwined with some good drama especially action-drama? But not the typical doujinsin when often the sci-fi fantasy story is just some forgettable backdrop (not that I don't like these, but I've already downloaded a ton of them over the past week).

http://www.hentairules.net/ is a place i like to go to. The guy who runs the site has a clear passion for hentai works both dojinshi and collected manga's and his descriptions are both informative and entertaining.

http://exhentai.org/ is there to find all the manga you want. It has all genre's including the dark stuff too, so if you don't want to see the nasty stuff you can go to http://g.e-hentai.org/

Chuuka Naruto is good for a while but it soon becomes very same-y so i haven't read any of his works for a while, and i'm not aware of Don Shigeru although i must admit to be being slightly frightened by futanari. It confuses my poor little brain.

Try Haruki's 'Kisei Juui Suzune (“Parasite Doctor Suzune”)' series found here. It has an interesting story with a sci-fi twist and strong characters which i've found to be quite interesting so far. There are links to the other volumes although we are missing volume 3 so i'm still waiting to see that.

Ahh... I'm fairly fond of hitomi.la for hentai, pretty quick direct download without capcha and reasonable interface to find related works in all kinds of languages.

Thanks for recommending Haruki!!! That's exactly what I'm looking for (I think), full length manga (esp. multi-volumes) with a non-sex/romance main plotline that is also intertwined with a lot of sex.

From your suggestion, I grabbed quite a lot of Hidemaru, he's good but the story plot are just filler for the sex. I'm hunting for the rare gems that has story that could stand up even with the sex taken out.

Futa isn't my thing either, you're right... Don Shigeru seems a bit obsessed with futa, now that I survey his works... But I still like Parasiter Miki because there's a smart (almost funny) excuse to give Miki a big warty penis, see it's not a penis at all, but a evil alien parasite which spread its infection but penetrating other woman's orifice, which only happens to look like sexual intercourse. There's also a lot of violence (Miki got a bullet clean thru her head early in Act 2, it's not a spoiler, but there's 7 Acts to go). Also I like the art style that's more 70s. Really a shame Acts 4-9 weren't translated.

I can read Chinese, so lucky to find the Chinese version for all volumes (1-6?) (edit: it seems only half of vol 6 has been translated to Chinese) (re-edit: vol.6 is full translated to Chinese) for Parasite Doctor Suzume. Yes English volume 3 is also missing on hitomi.la

Tennouji Kitsune's 'Blue snow blue' has recently piqued my interest. Their is an underlying sci-fi scenario but what stands out is the beauty of the main character Fuuka-chan with her gentle ways and the developement that her character goes through.

The art style is elegant and simple and not too busy so it's easy to follow. I haven't read much of anything else the artist has done. This series is very much his best work.

I don't want to give too much away but so i will just say that the story over the course of the many dojinshi involves murder, mystery, time travel, lust and plenty of eroticism. There is sex but it is not overwhelming and i would say takes only half the pages if that.

For me it's as much about draughtsmanship and personal style as story. Some have a way with the human form, some have a great erotically charged line, others have a rampant pornographic imagination. The inking is also important.
