FileJoker Sponsorship

Max, your file service seems to be geared to incentives and perks for uploaders. Filejoker likes to trumpet this at every opportunity. This is not the case for Premium Downloaders - we are just as important and deserving, and it is after all a symbiotic relationship. We need each other In addition, your 50 gigabyte download limit, cycling over a 5 day period, is stingy as hell. So, c'mon, just for a change, throw a bone to your biggest base - the downloaders. I'd like to suggest a Christmas promotion for us - 1 month subscription; 1 month free - 0r perhaps a 3 month subscription; three month complimentary. You get the idea. Or perhaps increase the download allowance. SOMETHING, please. At the moment, with most members at AO, File Joker is as popular as a pork chop in a synagogue. Offering members something...anything...would go a long way to altering the perception that you pander to the uploaders, while being niggardly and mercenary in your dealings with the downloading community. A Premium account should mean just that - Premium. So, how about it, Max? A little Christmas cheer would be most appreciated.

I received a Private reply from Max. It was the vanilla flavoured, "we will consider it". Here was my response:

"Thank you for the response. I hope that the consideration you say you are giving my suggestion re a Christmas subscription discount will be both serious and favourable. I do not accept the reason you give for Filejoker's stingy download limit. It is not protecting legitimate Filejoker account holders like me. On the contrary, it is penalizing me, and people like me. I am no 'cheater' or 'sharer', and the vast majority of Filejoker account holders are not either. You have a virtual file-sharing monopoly here on AO. I know you're paying for it. But be careful. I'm sure you're familiar with the moral of the children's story: 'The Goose That Laid the Golden Eggs'. I think it applies in this case...or it will."

Since no other downloaders/FileJoker Premium account holders have weighed in on the matter of a better deal for us, I assume you're either happy with, resigned to the status quo, or so rich you don't give a toss. I don't give a good god-damn about 'likes' for this communication, but Max et al might. Alternatively, you might provide your own views.

Sorry for the 'Like', just did it out of habit, and, unfortunately it is out of character for me to now Unlike it so, I'll take your good god-damn if you're not too attached to it. :D

It certainly would be nice for Premium holders to get a gift this Christmas. Maybe even turn it into the gift that keeps on giving and keep things going at a promotional rate. They'd be the only one doing it, really. I think I've read or was told about that whole protection thing. For example, by experience, if I find something on FileJoker that I might want because I can't get it myself, I can't stand when I click the link, then that second link where my download link is supposed to get generated, only to read "You don't not have permission to blah blah blah"! What?? Oh, turns out, the uploader can block other uploaders from downloading their posts (notice I didn't say their content. It isn't theirs [or mine]). So, yeah, I'm on Uploader status with FJ, but, I'm ALSO a premium account holder! I still get blocked.

Amen to everything you've said, Casshern. More than than, I appreciate the gems you upload, and the fact that you do so magnanimously, with equanimity and with little hoopla. And you like the magnificent Tsukasa Kanzaki as well! You're getting a ''like'' for that alone, good sir. Let's see if our rumbles of discontent, and requesting a Filejoker Premium account holder Christmas discount are taken seriously by Max et al.

There seems to be going something wrong with the download counter on Filejoker.

Last downloads on October 21 and today I tried to download 38 gig but the site shows I only have 24 gig left of the 50 gig :(

Very strange, did manage to download the full 38 gig and now the site shows I have 3.5 gig left.

I keep getting a "hack activity detected" message on J Downloader which prevents me from downloading. I am logged in to my Filejoker account fine. It also says "download limit has been reached" but I have plenty of download capacity left for my allotment.

Any ideas?

@mcada99: For some time JDownloader(2) doesn't work with Filejoker.

I use IDM (Internet Download Manager) but it means you have to open all the links in tabs first. Fortunately there is a plugin for Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/simage/?src=search) that can be used to open all selected links in tabs. You still have to visit every opened tab to get the download link in IDM.

@Porni, maybe you have tried to download a file before, but even if download wasn't finished, system counts approximate time required for download that file and after that you can download again.

I successfully completed the download 2-3 days ago, but still: "Your download has not finished yet".

@MaxFJ , it would be nice, if FJ has an two year premium option with adding (gratis) 6 month extention.
