Why do people say there's nothing wrong with this? Would you be fine if the gender were reversed?

Yeah, actually, I would be totally fine with that. This is not child porn, end of story, and whether the kid is male or female has no effect on that.

Heck, it'd probably even be more acceptable with reversed genders, since dudes' tits aren't considered to be "private parts" the way they are on girls.

I do not think anyone could care if a girl had her hands on a man's chest. It is socially acceptable for a man to be shirtless.

I think the picture is kind of cute.
People in society make way too much out of nothing, He's not having sx with her and I'm sure it wasn't even on his mind.
Funny how my cat sees me undress and thinks nothing of it - because he was not programmed to.

they say touching the boobs adversely affects the dignity of the kid, not of the girl.

That could be true, but that perception is a problem of itself.

I guess it all depends on how people choose to look at things. If I was that kid however, when I got older I'd be looking back and thinking, "I got to take a picture with a girl from AKB48, how cool is that!". For a boy, that's usually a win win. But if he's raised to see it as wrong, then he will. But it ultimately comes down to a-perspective and that's all it is.

This is not a morel issue, he is not having sx with the girl.
And there are far more worse immoral commercials on TV. How about all the kids using profanity in movies these days. The things the media focuses on amaze me when there's so much worse being accepted.

This issue just keeps reminding me of the Miley Cyrus bare-back photo:

Do you honestly believe that there is anything wrong with that picture? Really...? Then I guess people can't really see things for what they really are.

Very beautiful picture, by the way. Lucky kid.

The only thing wrong with the picture is that the kid's hands are covering up the best part.

Bad publicity was used to endorse someone career.
Just like Madonna or Lady Gaga from America, they used controversy to publish themselves.
Or Edison Chen from Taiwan and even too many artists to mention from Indonesia.
:pandalaugh:
It's just the way the world works.
The more shocking the news, the more people would talk/concern about it, brand awareness increased, popularity rise & shine, more people would want to know, curiosity do sell.
That magazine is a rare item now.:grassdance:

No child porn case seen over AKB48 pic

JIJI

Mar 14, 2013

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department does not plan to pursue criminal charges against the publishing house Kodansha Ltd. over a controversial photo book on Tomomi Kasai, a member of all-girl idol group AKB48.

According to investigative sources Tuesday and Kodansha, the Tokyo police have been investigating whether one of the photos, a topless picture of Kasai, 21, with a foreign male child covering her breasts with his hands, violates the law against child pornography.

The law says photos intended to stimulate sexual desire such as by showing someone under age 18 touching somebody else’s sex organ constitutes child pornography.

Kodansha has already canceled the release of the photo book, scheduled for Feb. 4, and has collected the Jan. 12 issue of its Shukan Young weekly comic magazine that carried the controversial image and a promotion for the photo book, finding the publication “inappropriate.”
